“May the bright moon transcend as holy light and purify all things on Earth. Moonlight Sphere!”
A few silver-white light orbs spawned before me as I chanted. With a wave of my sceptre, attacks launched in the four cardinal directions.
Judging from the agonised groans that came after from around me, I was certain that my move did a number on the targets.
Such wrenching cries could never come from humans with souls, but these were creatures whose bodies had been completely occupied by dark magical forces that could not bear the moon’s radiance.
It’s all good as long as there’s no living soul in there.
“Sceptre of Luna, the symbol of power that illuminates the darkness, the earth and the moon, please lend a hand to your master - shape into the ideal form she desires!”
Knocking down a ‘vampire’ in the head which attempted to tackle me, I raised the Sceptre of Luna high up. As I finished chanting, the ivory strips on the sceptre transformed into a beam of white light. It dispersed into about ten light spots, then into silver-white swords suspended in the air surrounding the ruby at the top of the sceptre.
“Sword of the Mighty Moon, baptise these filthy beings with moonlight and bring forth the punishment they deserve. Fullmoon Funnelsword!”
As I wielded my sceptre, the swords were fired at the ‘vampires’ around me all at once. Unable to react to the wave in time, a few of them were drilled with holes like beehives and vanished into the dark. One that successfully dodged the attack threw itself at the top of the sceptre, attempting to steal it away from me, whereas another charged at me from the other end of the back alley.
Ha, did you really think I can’t make a move without my sceptre? How naive, lemme teach you a lesson!
Sceptre held firmly in my palms, the ruby emanated a bright red light with a mass injection of magical powers, causing the ‘vampire’ touching it to cry in agony. In this opening, I pulled the sceptre with force to my right to crush the vampire with the other one coming for me. With a loud thud, they smashed into a wall nearby. Yet, seemingly numb to pain, they immediately got back on their feet for the next move. As I was one foot away from them -
“Glittery Diamond Wall!”
A diamond-shaped wall made of light expanded at the tip of the sceptre, blocking the duo’s path. After I snapped my finger, the silver-white swords scattered on the ground launched at the vampires in a split second, turning the one standing at the back into ashes. The other ‘vampire,’ however, survived the attack, and was trying to tear down the light wall with its claws using brute force.
“That desperate to struggle huh? Alright then, your wish is my command!”
I withdrew the light wall, then back flipped to the wall of the tenement building behind me. Seeing an opportunity, the ‘vampire’ leaped from the ground toward me at once and flashed its sharp claws at me. At the same time, I pointed my sceptre at it while jumping off -
“Ugh-!”
“What a shame. Silverhalo Crescent Spontoon.”
As its claws were about to slice through my face, a few spontoons emerged from the ground and impaled its chest vertically. It stared at me in anguish with its blood-red eyes and let out a long screech, yet, it was unable to prevent its perishment.
I slowly descended to the ground. Taking a quick glance at the soot behind me, I smiled and exited the alley without turning back.
Even when I gave you a chance, you still couldn’t beat me.
