The Forgetting Of Honor, Ch. II18Please respect copyright.PENANALlAtAeJZzg
Before civilization, there was honor. The world was clean of conspiracy, betrayal, and lack of morals. Now I know that this world was made to be purgatory. When we were introduced to positions of power, to a community, then as a state, we were blinded by the order it brought and truly believed that the echelons of society that controlled the benefits we lived by decided whether we were plainly animals or humans. But, the people began to strive for the unnatural benefit of immaterial objects we had created: the coin, the army, the crown, the throne. It has been six thousand years since this evil has taken hold of our world, and instead of learning from our mistakes, we seem to revel in it. I am ashamed to be a part of this equation, but in order to redeem ourselves as a species, I was willing to end this chaos from within.18Please respect copyright.PENANAXND8N8zvnp
I was twenty years of age. The last of my house and my family. I was born a high-ranking noble whose father and his father before were masters over swathes of land. But the results of envy reduced myself to a position that is ignored by many. I was forced to climb the ladder once more, and by then, the year before four hundred and ninety-two, I was named a colonel of the Confederacy. It seemed like then, I could forget my purpose. To climb that ladder even higher, to reach immortality and claim this universe as mine. Every moment I was wrapped in that thought, an order would befall me and I would realize again, the evil that this world has succumbed to.18Please respect copyright.PENANAtKb2KtPvgn
Grand Marshal Kolchakov required of us to cross the River Viadach, what the new maps would call the Wada, With five thousand men, I believed it an unlikely task. But I did so to my fullest capacity. In days, we had reached the Letsching Field, and before the end of the week, we were at Zollern Palace. The alliance was in upheaval and there was much murder. It truly made me stray farthest from my morals then, to rebel. But I was lucky I could contain my anger and stay it from contaminating my beliefs. When I wish to be honor-driven, I must play my part in servitude.18Please respect copyright.PENANApLZ8AtGmWC
