It was 7:30 o'clock the next day, morning, full and brilliant.I was woken up by the wonderful singing of birds outside. Perhaps it's a sign of hope?
The day of audition had finally come, luckily it's a Saturday so I could have an excuse of leaving the house and get some fresh air outside.
"Don't forget about your dinner tonight!" My mother told me before I left home.
I secretly carried my guitar out of the door without my parents' notice.
Drip drop...drip drop... At first I thought it was only drizzle, but later it proved that I was totally wrong. The sky was suddenly covered with dark grey clouds, the whole atmosphere turned from bright to gloomy. All passersby took their umbrella or hide under some shelters, except for me, I was in such a hurry that I didn't care about
Soon I arrived to the venue with my clothes all soaked in water. I quickly checked my guitar. "Oh shoot!" the strings were still dripping water and the colour of the guitar had turned into very dark brown, meaning that I need to give up on singing with instrument:(
Feeling uneasy and miserable, I waited for application as usual. The receptionist seemed to notice my situation, so she handed me a pack of tissue and smiled,"You should keep yourself up or else you may catch a cold with the air-conditioning inside!" I was really grateful to meet such a nice person.
I stepped into the enormous studio where all the contestants would be sitting. I keep on practice my song and made some amendments on my song as I won't be able to use my guitar anymore. Hours passed by, and it's finally my turn to perform. I soon arrived to a white room with other contestants, in front of us sat a female judge. She looked extra serious that I startled a bit while regreting my choice of coming. However this would be my last time, so I whispered to myself,
"You can do it Siara!"
The contestants who chose singing performed first, saying that I was the second one to perform. At once I had a rapid heartbeat and I could feel butterflies were flying inside my stomach, my palms were keep on sweating.
"Next!" A voice pulled me back to reality. I stepped in front of the others, took a deep breathe and sang my self-composed song called 'Friday' without the help of my guitar. I admitted that it's uncomfortable to sing acapella at first, but I soon managed put in my own music, I even moved my hands as if I was playing an invisible guitar. After I finished my performance, I heard some whispers from behind, but I didn't care about it as the judge stared into my eyes for almost 5 seconds, which made me feel extremely nervous.405Please respect copyright.PENANA7q3Efttobq

Just when the last contestant who chose dancing performed, the judge exclaimed, "7201 and 7212 please stay behind, for others thank you for coming today!"
Wait...isn't 7201 my contestant number? I couldn't believe my ears, so I thought I've misheard the judge and headed to the exit slowly. "Excuse me, why are you leaving, the girl with blue t-shirt and white pants?" so she was really taking about me.
So I was left behind, and the last mission of that day was dancing in front of the judge. Beside me there stood another boy who was going to perform his rap. When he started his performance, I was immediately blown away by his rap, his performance was energetic, but at the same time I could say that he was telling a story when I looked through his eyes.
There was definetly a reason why the judge decided to chose him from the group of 20 contestants. He was BORN TO BE ON STAGE!
It's time for me to show off my skills, I stepped to the middle of the room and started to groove to the pop music. As the music reached its climax part, I danced to many powerful movements which I've learnt during my school practices. My steps were very smooth that my confidence kept on boosting. There was a moment that I thought I was dancing on a stage, and I saw my parents sitting in the audience. I really wished that they could support my dream one day, but maybe not now.
Everything seemed to be too unrealistic, from working hardly to fight for my dreams, to performing in front of the judge of a famous entertainment. Even though I couldn't get into the finals, I wouldn't regret my choice as these past experiences would only turn myself into a more mature and braver girl who could stand the tests.
The music finally ended and after I striked a pose, I heard an applause in front of me. At first I thought that it was the audience, but in fact it came from the judge. She even said that,
"This is what I've been looking for!" with a beaming smile. The boy beside me even gave me a thumb up.
This was the first time that I was being appreciated in my 14-year lifetime.
By the time the audition was over, the judge came closer to us and patted our shoulders, saying, "Please wait for your confirmation email afterwards, once again thanks for coming!"
I couldn't hold my excitement anymore, I hugged the boy next to me tightly after we left the room. Only when he shoved my hands off his shoulder did I realise that my action was too intimate.
After we waved goodbye to each other, I glanced at my watch. Oh my! It's 8 o'clock at night already and I've missed my dinner. I quickly rushed back home and thinking about excuses to convince my mother, but my angry mother was already standing in front of the door when I arrived home.
"Where have you been and why are you taking your guitar out?" she shouted anxiously.
I think I've made a huge mistake this time.
