*In Aiko's thoughts*
I always hated that name, it was the name given to me by my classmates many years back, back before I was given this curse of a title. Ironic isn't it, an expert at love can't find love herself. It wasn't always what I was known for, my nickname used to be just Ai however things changed the day I confessed to... him. My first friend, first love, first heart break, and worst of all the one who named me... Cupid.
It was after I had helped him get the girl of his dreams, he had thanked me over and over again. I was about to take my leave when he had said once more "Thank you.... Cupid." Since then people went up to me for relationship advice or to hook them up with their crush. Never once was there a decent person who came to just simply ask how my day was, only begging for the help of the famous Cupid. I was no longer Ai your average student, but Cupid the match maker.
I had to deal with being Cupid for so long, so when the idea of moving to a new town came up I was ecstatic. I'd get a fresh start, I could be Ai again. My dad wanted to start a cafe, where he can show off his baking and coffee making skills. My mother wasn't too happy about it, however the house we planned to live in was close to her work so she soon gave in. The only thing that I didn't like was that I had to say goodbye to the man I loved.
However on my last day he said something to me that tore me apart. "I'm sorry, I can't be friends with you anymore. My girlfriend doesn't like the fact that you're always with me. I hope you understand."
"I-i-it's okay." 'No it's not.' "That's actually what I called you out here for. I was going to say that it's awkward being friends with someone who has a girlfriend." 'I was going to tell you that I was moving.' "I'm glad that we had this talk and were able to come to an understanding."
"That's great, well I guess see you tomorrow classmate."
"You bet, classmate." "I'm sorry, I lied to you. Goodbye."
The next day I didn't show up to school, because I was on my way to my new home. My fresh start, the best day of my life.
"Class this is Aiko Baker, please treat her kindly and make sure she feels at home."

"Umm.. No I'm just from the next town over."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah, my dad wanted to start a coffee shop so we moved here."
"Hmm... Aiko Baker, that sounds familiar. Are you by any chance Cupid?"
The minute she asked me that, I started shivering, and almost went into a panic. I had to control myself, I couldn't just freak out on my first day so I just replied.
"Umm... Yeah I am." 'They know, they know, they know, they know, they know!!!'
"That's great, can you help me with my boyfriend? He's been ignoring me, and-"
I didn't listen to her, I just kept sitting there thinking over and over.
'You did this to me! You became my friend, had me fall in love with you. Rejected my feelings, then got my help to get the girl of your dreams, unfriended me when you two got closer. The worst of all, you named me, you're the reason I can never live a normal life because you named me Cupid. I HATE YOU!!!!!'
*Aiko was brought back to reality by the teacher speaking*
"Okay, class we have a new student today. Treat him well, Aiko you'll be showing him around the school."
"Understood teach."
"Okay you may come in now."
The door was then opened and the new student walked in and stood in the front of the class. He had short blue hair with the side of it shaved, his left ear had a small piercing. He wore his uniform wrong, his collar shirt wasn't fully buttoned and he had a regular t-shirt under it. He wore dark grey pants and had a chain on his belt buckle. He looked like a delinquent, however there was something off about him. His eyes, they were an unnatural color, they were purple.
"You may introduce yourself."
After the teacher told him to introduce himself he just stood there, smiling and starting... at me? He ignored the teacher completely and walked up to my desk and gave me a friendly smile.
"Long time no see Aiko, ah no Ai."
'Ai, I haven't heard that name in a while, but how does he know that name?'
"I'm sorry do I know you?"
