The prompt from the jackolantern's point of view...
Aagh, why was the lighting always so bad! I can see right in front of me, I mean, I produce my own lighting, but every Halloween I just see dirt and shoes. Sure I can always hear the chorus of trick or treaters, but I never get to see the costumes. I never get to see the bright princesses or batmans that I always hear about.
The woman who bought me is always taking her sweet time saying each costume and complimenting on it. Man! It's just so frustrating! And I can't even smell the candy because that woman decided that it would be a good idea for me to be filled with the light and fregrance of a scented candle.
Oh, and don't even get me started on the carving part of my evening. Guess what. The woman cut into the top of my head as expected, but then she uses a spoon to take out all of the pumkin goodies inside of me and preceeds to toss them away. I mean the nerve. And then she carved the face on me, not that I could see it. Not that I could see at all until she cut out my eye sockets. Well, I can safely say that this Halloween will be just dreadful hope you will have a better one than I will.
It is very, very short, but I liked writing this and I thought it was amusing.
Bye!
