A notification pulled Yoongi out of his work. He closed the track he was working on to see an email he had just received from Namjoon. Must have been important, usually if RM had something to tell him he would just call or come over… He took his headphones off and opened the link he had just received, so he could go back to work as soon as possible. Simultaneously his cellphone vibrated, he rolled his eyes. How hard was it to get a minute of peace and quiet to finish this damn song? It was a text from Namjoon that read; ‘’ I think I downloaded some malware by accident. Don’t open an weird files my computer sends you!’’ Namjoon had probably downloaded some porn again to get a virus like that. Hopefully that email wasn’t dangerous!

Yoongi’s heart stopped as he tried to get back to his track but it turned out impossible as he received an error message. ‘’KIM NAMJOON!’’ he yelled while his screen turned blue and glitchy.

But this time he did things the grand way. Both his and Yoongi’s computer were grilled, along with them, a lot of their studios material the tracks for the new album. It was a major setback and Suga was so enraged that the rest of the band feared for their lives, but none as much as RM, since it was kind of his fault after all. ‘’A while? How long is a while?’’ Namjoon asked with a nervous look back at Yoongi. ‘’We’re talking a couple of weeks… Same for the other studio…’’ the tech man said. Namjoon gulped and Yoongi kicked the wall. ‘’We don’t HAVE weeks!’’ Suga protested while the rest of the group looked at each-other, not even daring to speak a word. ‘’Okay. Everyone calm down. We’ll just have to rent a studio for a little while. If we keep up the same pace we had, we’ll be done with the new songs just in time for the tracks we’ve already recorded to be restored. ‘’I’m sure you’ll be pleased with the experience at our studio. It might not be as spacious as what you’re used to but our production value is quite respectable.’’ the owner said while leading Namjoon inside the small studio. The place was a bit worn out but the equipment was modern enough. The place was so covered in band posters you couldn’t see the the color of the wall and it was full of wires and equipment of all sorts. The owner knocked in the window between the recording part of the studio and the booth but she didn’t seem to hear it. So he simply got in the mixing room without further notice to rip the headphones off her. ‘’Eh! I was getting to the good part!’’ she whined before noticing there was someone beside the owner. She jumped on her feet and bowed. ‘’Sorry I didn’t think you were coming so early, nice to meet you!’’ she greeted visibly embarrassed while trying to fix her short messy hair. The owner sighed. ‘’This is Dae. She might not look like it, but she is the best at what she does. She’ll help you around so you can get accustomed with the equipment here.’’ the man said while giving her an annoyed stare. When they came in, although it was early in the morning, Dae was already sitting in front of the computer with a disproportionally large mug of coffee. ‘’Morning… Nice to meet you…’’ she said in a sleepy voice while rubbing her eyes. ‘’Nice to meet you…’’ Yoongi said in a tone that came out colder that what he had intended. It was too early in the morning for him to be speaking to cute girls… Namjoon on the other hand was like a fish in water. ‘’Morning Dae. Thanks for helping us today!’’ he said before sitting down next to her in a chair and giving her a charmingly dimpled smile. Dae gave him a smile back a a thumbs up for answer. Her dark circles and the messy blue hair that escaped her beanie betrayed the fact that she wasn’t a morning person. ‘’Everything is ready, we just need to plug in that guitar and make some magic happen.’’ she said with a little wink that made RM’s heart miss a beat. It was undeniable that the girl was cute, he found himself quite lucky to have such eye candy to work with. Suga on the other hand wasn’t quite as pleased. Working with a cute girl around was a sure way to get him and the boys distracted. The hired guitarist arrived soon enough. He was an old pro and he only needed a listen of Yoongi’s piano and a partition to be ready to get started. He sat down in the recording part of the studio while Dae plugged his guitar in and toyed around with the amp before coming back in the mixing booth and closing the door behind her. The man started to tune his guitar. Dae sat back in her chair and rolled next to the boys. ‘’We’re going for a very neutral sounding guitar right now. We can make it more soulful afterwards, it’s just gonna be easier to work with as little reverb as possible to start off.’’ she said with a smile before rolling to the front of the controls.
Once the guitarist was done with his tuning he gave a thumbs up and she hit the recording button. He only had the time to do a single chord before her face twisted in a bothered expression. Namjoon and Yoongi looked at her intrigued. ‘’What’s wrong? He hasn’t started yet?’’ RM asked. She pressed the button so she could be hear in the recording room. ‘’Your D string is flat.’’ she simply stated her expression suddenly dead serious as the guitarist nodded and rang the D string before adjusting it. ‘’Lovely. ‘’You have a good ear.’’ Yoongi commented half compliment, half question. ‘’You’ve been doing this for a while haven’t you’?’’ Namjoon added. Dae nodded with a smile, closing her eyes to concentrate on the guitar, before pressing the mic to the recording room again. ‘’You sound great, fourth bar was just a tad dragging.’’ she said before turning to the boys. ‘’My father used to own this studio. I learned notes earlier than words…’’ she added with a corner smile before turning back to the guitarist with a focused expression. Yoongi looked at her, a weird feeling in his stomach. Was it the first time he met a girl who loved music as much as he did?
