Avery POV
When I arrived at school I thought it would be a normal day, the boy Zach would bother me and my friend Nadia would stroll in and take me to class but no. As soon as I walked in and everybody had their eyes on me and I heard whispers. I was brought out of my thoughts when I feel arms around my shoulder, look up and see Aiden trying to mask me away from the stare.
I blush and say, "Aiden what are you doing and why is everybody staring at me?"
He replies, "They saw that I walked you home, it's nothing to worry about princess."
I smirk and say, "Don't call me that and why would they care if you walked me home."
He says with a giggle "They probably think we slept together or something."
I blush and punch him in the chest which doesn't affect him at all. But low-key I want to hear him giggle again, it was cute.
I whisper-yell, "Your messing up my normal day Aiden! And that's not something to be proud about, we didn't sleep together!"
With a smirk he whispers in my ear giving me chills, "Princess I know you want me there's nothing to be embarrassed about. I want you too."
I get beet red after he says that he wants me. I quickly get out of his embrace and run to class not knowing how to react. My best friend Jack bombards me with questions about Aiden and I's relationship. I just shrug it off and say that we're project partners and he offered to take me home while we talked about the project; which was true.
I gave him a reassuring smile so he could back off. I smiled at the thought of Aiden saying that he liked me. But, how would even know if I liked him back if I never showed my feelings? Oh well, I just find out later.
Throughout the day I heard rumors and I got disgusted stares from girls and confusion filled my mind. Why does everyone hate me? I turn to Nadia whose sitting across from me on the lunch table.
I ask, "Why does everyone hate me and why are they disgusted."
She said with a sigh, "There's been a rumor about you begging for Aiden to take you home so you could sleep with him."
My eyes water and I says, "What? That never happened...who made the rumor?"
Nadia sadly takes my hand and replies with a whisper, "Me, please don't be made at me, I was mad because you didn't wait for me like you always do, I'm so sorry Ave please forgive me."
I harshly snatch my hand away from her getting up from my seat. I tear up and breathe out, "Stay away from me, how could you do this to me?"
