I opened the door and was greeted with the sight of Nick smiling at me.
"All set?" He asked. I nodded and smiled back at him. He grabbed my hand with his and led me to his car. He opened the door and helped me inside. He then ran over to his side, got in and started driving.
"You look beautiful Rose" he said glancing at me.
" Thanks. Uh...you do too. I mean...well you...you look handsome... is...is what I mean" I said blushing and looking down towards the window. He laughed and said thanks. About 17 minutes later we arrived at a restaurant.
"It's nothing super fancy. Just a normal restaurant" Nick said to me as he parked the car.
As I was unbuckling he got out and ran around the car to open the door for me. I chuckled and thanked him. He stuck out and offered me his hand. I looked at him smiling and took it with mine. When we started walking towards the restaurant he intertwined our hands together. I blushed with a smile on my face.
We entered the restaurant and someone led us to a table. The person handed us menus and told us someone would be take our orders soon. I looked up at Nick and saw he was already looking at me with a small smile.
"Is there something on my face?" I asked a little worried.
"No. You just look really cute right now" he said smiling wider at me. I blushed and looked back down at the menu.
"Hello my name's Claire and I'll be taking your order tonight" a blonde girl said as she walked where we sat.
"Can I get you started with a drink?" She asked smiling at Nick flirtatiously. I grew a little uncomfortable and shifted in my seat.
"Uh... I'll just have Dr. Pepper" Nick said.
"I'll have a lemonade" I said. The waitress looked over at me and grimaced. She then walked away to get the drinks.
"I'm surprised you didn't order dr.pepper too. I know that's your favorite" Nick told me.
" How'd you know that?" I asked him.
"Your friend Nadine told me. I asked her some questions about you. I hope you don't mind" he said smirking at my surprised expression.
"N-no not at all. I was just surprised" I stuttered a little. He reached across the table and held my hand. I blushed as his hand made contact with mine. I've never really been on a real date with a guy before. This was all new to me and I wasn't sure how to act. No guy has really shown interest in me if I'm being honest.
The waitress soon returned and put our drinks down. She saw or hands and her face scrunched up. She then turned to face Nick.
"What can I get you to eat cutie?" She asked him smiling. I slowly took my hand back and started playing with my bracelet on my other wrist. I saw Nick glancing at me as he told her his order. He got parmesan chicken.
"And for you? A salad I assume?" She said looking me up and down with a look of disgust on her face. "Did she just call me fat?" I thought. I tried to ignore the comment she lashed at me as I went to order my food.
"Um...I'll have the bacon cheeseburger" I shyly said. I tried to ignore her stare.
"Are you sure you want that? We have plenty of salads to choose from. God knows you need it" She smirked at me. I glanced down for a second, tears threatening to fall, before I heard Nick speak up.
"Hey. She told you what she wanted, so why don't you go place our order. Then when we leave, you can eat all the salad you want since you seem to like it so much. It seems to me that you're the one needs it" he said glaring at the girl. She then scoffed at him and walked away.
"Hey...you okay?" He asked reaching out for my hand again.
"Yeah...I'm okay. Thank you for doing that" I responded quietly.
Before he could reply back to me, someone came and walked up to our table.
"Is everything okay over here? I'm Alex, the manager" the man asked us.
"No. Everything's not okay. That waitress was rude and disrespectful to my date" he said nodding his head in my direction. "I'd like someone else to take our orders"
" Yes of course. I'm very sorry for her actions tonight. I'll take your orders for the rest of your stay" the manager told us. Nick gave him our orders and the manager walked away to get them for us.
"I'm sorry Rose. I didn't expect our date to go like this" he apologized.

After that incident, the rest of our dinner went really well. We told each other jokes and laughed a lot. I felt really happy being here with him in this moment. I never wanted it to end, but soon enough we were both finished and we headed out back to his car. He opened the door for me again and let me get in.
"You ready for desert?" He smirked at me.
"Depends what dessert is" I laughed at him.

Nick drove us to the nearest ice cream shop and we went and ordered them. He got a vanilla cone while I got a strawberry one. After we finished, we went back in his car to listen to some music.
"I love this song" Nick said
"Really? me too" I said as he smiled at me. It was quite for a while. We just bobbed our head to the beat and smiled at each other.
"Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight Rose?" I heard Nick say. I looked over at him before replying
"You might have mentioned it once or twice" I said smiling at him.
It got quite for a minute with only the music playing in the background. I noticed his face was getting closer to mine. Soon it was right in front of mine. I could feel his breath on my lips.
"I really really like you Rose" Nick whispered glancing from my eyes to my lips. My breath hitched in my throat for a few seconds.
"I really really like you too Nick" I whispered back.
Our lips were so close. They were almost touching now. Then his lips were on mine. I immediately kissed him back. The kiss sent a warm feeling throughout my whole body. I closed my eyes as I felt his hand being placed on my cheek. Before I knew it we broke apart to catch our breath.
"Wow" I breathed out.
"Yeah" he said looking at me.
He got closer to me again. He pecked my lips and suddenly I was falling backwards. "Oh...the seat is moving back" I thought.
"Oh, wow. It just keeps going back, doesn't it?" I laughed. Nick just chuckled at my awkwardness.
Then he was hovering right above me. He leaned closer and my breath hitched again. I glanced at his lips and back at his face. I could see him doing the same. Then I felt his lips on mine again. It was more passionate this time. I could feel how much he wanted to kiss me. I kissed him back with just as much passion. I never knew kissing could feel like this before.
I felt his hands start to roam my body. One of my hands tangled themselves in his hair while the other was pulling his shirt, so his body was closer to mine. His hands started to travel down my body. They were now at my waist and getting lower. I bit his lip gently and heard a growl like noise come from him. I smirked in the kiss and pulled his face closer to mine as I felt our lips were starting to break apart. I just wanted to kiss him forever. I then felt his hands on my thighs and moving up.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to go that far" he sighed at himself.
"it's okay. Just...it's only our first date" I said grabbing his hand. " Plus...wow that was..."

He started the car and we were in our way to my house. About 20 minutes later we arrived at my house.
"I had an amazing time tonight Nick. Thank you" I said smiling at him.
" I had an amazing time too" he smiled back
I leaned over to him and put my hand on his cheek. I leaned in and kissed his lips slowly. After about 10 seconds I pulled away and smiled at him.
