There is always the fantasy

of the first kiss. Pretty pink

dresses, a hand slowly caressing

a set of washboard abs, hardly

a smear of that dark red lips stick.

A perfect image stuck

on the brain, repeating.

Expectations higher and baited

breath more tense than a climax.

The prospect of failure almost

worse than the waiting.

Hands here, or there?

Too hard? Too soft?

Too slow? Too fast?

Restrain yourself.

Hold your breath.

Focus.

After, at times, was the best part.

Hidden away deep in my brain.

I play it over and over again.
