Meanwhile in room 9, Page walks in ,starting to pace back and forth around the room. Then stops. “What if this is the object that everyone is looking for?” She says to herself starting to worry. “If it is, then I have to find out its use before anyone else.” Page says being slightly confident. She walks over to her bed, places her bag & books on there, and begins to study. A few long hours later. “Aghhhhhhhhh. Why is nothing working!!!”Page frustrated with the sphere, knocks it over and it falls onto the floor heavily bumping into the wall. Suddenly a bright flash of light and noise appears. Page falls off the bed and runs over with a blanket , then tosses it now covering it. The sphere to quiets its sound. Page then slides it under the bed. After a few minutes it goes quiet, Page then lets out a silent sigh of relief. She then brings up her familiar (a small calico cat) and says, “Aster, let's go to the store. I need a moment away from my work.” The cat looks at her and nods. Page picks up her bag and places it on her side by the component pouch, then picks up her quarterstaff and places it on her back. “LETS GOOOO.” She shouts excitedly as the girl named Page and her cat Aster, exit the room. As they make their way down the stairs to let Elrik know she’s heading out, a familiar face meets her view, the slightly tall human in armor from earlier. He walks up to her, leans in and whispers. “I don’t know what you're hiding, you may have Quentin fooled but not me.” Griffin says with a smirk. Page pushes past him and replies. “I wasn’t trying to fool you or your companion. But now I have business to tend to, bye.” She says quickly exiting the tavern. Griffin looks at her as she leaves and walks back down toward the tavern. As Page and Aster walk towards the shop, she takes out a small copper wire and casts Message to Elrik. “Hey, I think someone in the inn is after the sphere. Can you keep an ear out if anyone goes into my room or talks about me? I left it upstairs. You can respond to this message.” It takes him a moment to respond but after a few short seconds, she hears. “Okie dokie, boss! Are they following you right now?” He says worried, in the background she could hear the sound of Louise trying to get him to go back to work. She responds, “I am safe, Aster is with me and I have my staff on me. It sounds like your getting busy, I’m going to pop by Daylen’s real quick for some more books and components. See ya!” She ends the message then goes into the rustic scroll. “Welcome in, how can I- oh Page, no luck on translating the object?” A short halfling man with grey hair and small wrinkles. That is standing behind the counter in the back, says with a chuckle. The store’s walls are filled with books all over the walls and the whole store once you enter, smells like a walk through the woods during fall. Page walks in and closes the door. “Hi Daylen, unfortunately once again yes. Um, do you have any more older spellbooks in stock? I might go out of town for a month.” She says embarrassed, Daylen the shopkeeper looks at her and says. “Ah, ya finally leaving us lassie?” He says smiling. “The spell books are to your left like normal right in between the herbology and sword fighting books.” Page nods awkwardly and heads towards the shelf. “So, where are you heading?” A familiar voice says from behind her. Right behind her is the Tiefling from earlier. “Oh, hi again, um sorry about earlier. I recently bought an object off of someone that I have been trying to study. My only problem is I keep running into dead ends. That’s why I was in a hurry to leave.” The Tiefling smirked and in response said. “Eh it’s ok, if I may ask what are you trying to translate?” He says pulling out a book on the art of deception. Page fidgets for a moment and replies. “Personal studies. But also, I don’t know if I can trust you, for I have only just met you.” She says with a slight bit of pride. The Tiefling looks over at her and replies. “Fair move. Well I am Quentin Ferric, Warlock for the Flame Owls . I don’t want anything bad to come to you after your help earlier to my group.” He says showing emotion. Page looks at him, nods and says in infernal, “I think I have something valuable and I don’t know what to do. Please meet me at room 9. Don’t let anyone else know about this.” She pulls out a couple of spell books from the shelf and a quill. Quentin replies in infernal. “I promise no one will know.” Page places her stuff on ye counter. “That will be 4 silver.” Daylen says, Page places the coins on the counter and says, “Thanks again.” She runs out of the store with Quentin following behind. They get inside the tavern and heads upstairs towards the room.
