I lightly trod on the hard, leaf-covered ground. Something follows me. I feel its eyes boring through the back of my head. I stop. It keeps going. I walk a little faster, but the creature doesn't stop.
I slightly turn my head around to see who keeps making that racket. Not surprisingly, it's Hooman. She follows me everywhere. She's kept an extra eye on me since I sprained my paw.
Chuckling in my head, I let her follow me some more. It's always entertaining to see her try and startle me. I now pad the floor more slowly, keeping all ears on her. She speeds up, probably hoping she could catch me. At last, I flop down under the shade of the big oak tree. I glance at her one more time, seeing that she finally caught up with me.
She smiles at me and lays down right beside me. Well, there goes my chance of catching anything. As I try scouting around more, Hooman seems louder. My tail gives a swish of frustration and I sigh. No point in trying.
Instead, I relax and drink in all the sights and sounds nature has to offer.
