I opened my eyes; I was in the hospital. Vicky was next to me; her arms were crossed on the bed, and she was laying her head over them. Sam, Evelynn, and Dan were standing together. They all looked so tired. It took me a minute to remember. I tried to overdose and kill myself. I must've survived, someone must've found me, and I made it to the hospital. I glanced around the room and realized Jake wasn't there. I let out a soft sigh. I moved my hand and lightly touched Vicky's arm, hoping to wake her. She shifted and lifted her head. It took her a moment, and then she shot up and looked at me with wide eyes. I smiled weakly at her, and she wrapped her arms around me gently. Tears began to trickle out of my eyes, everyone rushed over, and we were all hugging and crying. Vicky soon backed up.

"I have to call Jake!" She excused herself out of the room to call him.

Everyone then backed out of the hug, and we all wiped our teary eyes. We were all smiling like idiots; even I was happy I was alive. But I began to feel awful and guilty.

"Oh god, I'm so sorry." I broke out into a sob. "I'm so sorry that I didn't try to get help, and I-"

"Hey, it's going to be okay. We're just so grateful that you're still alive," Evelynn said, interrupting me as I cried. "Please never do it again. If you're having thoughts like that, you need to get help, and we're always going to be here to help you."

I took a deep breath, trying to stop myself from crying, and then Vicky came back into the room and told us Jake was on his way. I smiled, even though I was afraid of what his reaction would be seeing me like this. I finally began to pull myself together. I asked how the time at Jake's dorm went and what they did.

"Oh yeah, we were playing board games and such... and then Jake left to go see if you were okay," Vicky said.

Then, it hit me. Jake must've been the one who opened my door. He is the reason why I'm still alive. But why wasn't Jake here when I woke up? Did he get busy? Did he have other plans? Was he getting my parents? Finally, I stopped thinking about what he was doing.

"My parents..." I said out loud. "Did they come?" Everyone was looking at me; I could tell they felt bad. "Haha, they didn't come, right?" I said with a chuckle. "It's not like I... I wanted to see them anyways." Tears began to run down my cheeks again.

Sam placed a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at her and smiled through the pain. There was a knock at the door. Through the little window, I could see a glimpse of Jake's face. Dan opened the door, and he walked in. Jake looked so sad and tired like he hasn't gotten any sleep. He didn't even say anything. He just walked up and hugged me.

I bit my lip to keep myself from crying as I hugged him back. He backed out of the hug and gently pressed his lips against mine, his face felt wet, but that didn't matter. Nothing mattered. I was alive, and my boyfriend was kissing me again, and it was all I wanted to happen at this moment.

Time passed, and doctors came and went checking up on me, and everyone kept asking when I could go home, I was given food from the hospital to help me gain the weight I had lost, and someone else would go out and get food and bring it back for everyone but me. This was nice, I may have been in a hospital bed with wires connected to me, but I was with people who loved me. We laughed and talked for hours till everyone got too tired to process words. I checked the time, and it was already midnight; I forget how fast time passes when you're having fun.

"Guys... Go home so I can sleep," I said, laughing, "Because like I'm tired as hell."

I smiled and opened my arms. She walked over and hugged me. Then everyone else walked over and hugged me before leaving. I waved goodbye and smiled. Jake looked over at me and smile.
