I love the movies of Hayao Miyazaki so I made a short story with inspiration from his works!

Brief Intro:

A normal teen + magical store + animalistic employees + lifelong contract + multiverse + etc = A great short story if you ask me!

Heart of the Beast - First Prize Winner

Since this is just about a character its very short and concise. As I was writing about this person, I was already thinking about a story but I challenged myself that it would be a character driven one than a story driven one - for most of the time, if my loyal readers could observe, I love to write a story driven type and... I am also thankful for Wynter-Rose giving us such a challenge and choosing me as the winner and I'm also grateful for the people who took the spare time to read my work as well as liked it!

I'm still salty about not winning the competition with this story but I accept failures because in the end of the day, were just humans, we can never be perfect... we can only assume while doing the best that we could offer.

Terry killed his parents, now he’s on the run. He moved to the next town; about eight kilometers –not much of a great escape. And what he didn’t expect from his dark thoughts is what he found in the peaceful, too friendly den of sly, sophisticated people of Route 31.

Oddity is a normality not all understands.

Capitalization commencing in 10, 9, 8…” the system informed. “I knew this was coming.” Lieutenant Beitt of the legion of John admitted “The Labyrinth cannot handle him… he’s too complex for answers.” She added and was responded to by furious punches of the higher official on the glass screens. “Resource number 012897 has escaped the vicinity… Damage rate: 79% of the facility has been destroyed… system EVE is shutting down due to damage.” The AI updated.
