It is AD 2199, a distant future where humanity has expanded beyond the solar system and into the stars. In the Stahlven Frontier, war takes place between a resurgent Earth, now calling itself the Arcturus Dominion, and her human colonies, who form the Lazarus Alliance. Aside from the gigantic battleships, a new weapon arises in fighting these wars: the large, humanoid, and highly mobile Armored Fighter Units.

Meanwhile, as the space war rages on in the form of ambushes and skirmishes between both ships and AFUs alike, on the desert moon Ghalzar IV, a deadlocked ground war takes place, and Alliance commanders are trying to find a way to break it and end the war on Ghalzar IV once and for all.Warning: Mature content and language.

Ustovakia is divided, and even UN peacekeepers are not enough to handle the situation.

Private Rickie Kostopolous is a law student and Territorial Army soldier in The Queen's Own Hussars, a regiment of mechanized infantry in the UK Army. In April 1993 he is called up to deploy to Ustovakia as one of the peacekeeping units. Upon arriving there, however, he realized that the mission was null: there was no peace to keep, but there was war to wage.
