Augo stood by the ring against his opponent. Surely, all the spectators thought he would lose, for he was small and scrawny. But he had one advantage that nobody could see.
Blace growled like a rabid dog, preparing to attack his opponent. But Augo stood confidently, not deterred by what brute strength Blace was preparing to use.
"The fight begins in 3, 2, 1..." The judge sliced his hand through the air, and the fight began.
Augo took a step forward as Blace raged at him like a bull. But suddenly, all was still. Blace started running backwards at the same speed he had ran forwards. Augo smiled. His machine had worked. He could win every wrestling match in his dreams. He could probably win most sports. Augo grabbed Blace as he ran backwards, and, turning off his machine, punched him hard in the face, kicking his stomach as well.
Blace howled in pain, his monster-like body crippling at the harshness of the kick. Augo grinned as Blace gave him a wounded look. "Did you think that because of pure strength, you could win? Did you think all was to be set in stone?"
"What was that?" Blace barked. "Some sort of time machine?" Augo clapped his hands in delight. A euphoria overtook his body. The words practically spilled out his mouth like a rushing river. "Time will move backwards, atleast for you. You're my test subject, after all, and my machine is clearly working."
Blace stood up. "Is this your plan? Defeat every wrestler in the ring by cheating with your neat...inventions?" He licked his wound.
Augo ran after him, anger filling his body. How could he possibly not use his invention? He would never win a single game otherwise. From when he was a young, sickly boy, his dream was to be in the ring. Now, it was finally coming true. And nobody could stop that, let alone a mindless beast.
Blace pulled his arm back, and Augo turned on his machine again. But instead of giving him control, he had seemingly lost it. Blace pushed his arm forward, and Augo was punched in the face. Then, Blace took a step forward, closer to Augo. Augo turned the machine off, and again, it was back in real time. Augo grabbed Blace's leg, channeling all his energy for Blace to atleast fall to the ground. Blace kicked his leg back and forth, trying to break Augo's grip off it. As Augo was focused on keeping onto his leg, Blace pulled both of his fists back. Augo turned his machine on again. To his surprise, he felt two blows reach his torso. Augo winced in pain. Blace continued to kick, and a wounded Augo let go of his raging leg, flying in the air and landing on the other side of the ring.
Augo shaked his head, trying to keep awareness after pain had reached every area of his body. Blace was walking towards him, the machine no longer having any effect. Augo desperately tried to look for his machine again, only to realize Blace had already crumpled it as he stepped towards Augo.
"You...you punched me as time went backwards." Augo said in sheer terror. Blace snorted. "Did you think that because I had brawn, I had no brains? Did you think the past is set in stone?" Blace gave a short grin of satisfaction, before smashing his fist with all his strength into Augo's face, putting his knee over Augo's torso.
Augo wailed in pain, knowing that he wouldn't be able to defeat Blace. It would be a stupid idea. He could try again and again with insanity, and he felt all his opportunity dissapear from the moment as defeat reared it's ugly head.
When the countdown ended, Blace stood up, offering his hand to help Augo up as well. Augo took it, and watched in despair as Blace took the trophy victoriously.
