When Sal was a kid he built up a reputation of being a loner, which still has not changed, but one day his reputation became more than just the quiet kid.
When Sal was human, in 1784, he stumbled upon a rather odd town, no one lived there and this perplexed Sal as he had grown up in the city his whole life. Sal was delighted to have a space all to himself, due to his quiet and reserved nature.
Soon Sal made his home in the then small town, he found pleasure in the knowledge that it was only his, and his it stayed for about a year. Soon Sap began to change, the first thing he noticed was the colour of his skin, slowly turning a shade of orange. This did alarm the then 22 year old as he had jo doctor to turn too, yet he stayed in the small town, deciding that if he was to die it would be in a place he loved
Now, the thing is, he never left the town, he found solid food sources and clean water, which he did find odd as to why. Soon he noticed that he was going longer and longer without eating and drinking, and five years later, he fully transformed into who, or what, he is now. Sal Jacko, the jack-o-lantern of brikenberge.
