Chapter I – A Letter Arrives
As he sat there in his large leather armchair, smoking his pipe, Benjamin wondered to himself what it was exactly he wanted in life. With the large manor house he owned, and the plethora of homes overseas, wealth beyond imagination, what more could he long for?
“Sir, I hope I am not intruding on anything?” called out the voice of his butler, Arthur Tenpenny, who intruded on his thoughts.
“No of course not Arthur, how are you on this splendid day?” replied Benjamin, though the day was far from splendid, as hail lashed the windows like a vicious assault.
“I am well indeed sir, although I only trouble you because a letter has arrived- titled for you.”
“A letter? Well I always enjoy a good bit of post, I wonder who it could be from?” he said, rising from his large embracing leather armchair, before moving over to his long-time friend and Butler to take the white envelope from his old and wrinkled fingers.435Please respect copyright.PENANAK31U3Vak5t
