Bittersweet chocolate and starlight. The smell of ozone after a spring rain. Shooting stars careening silently through the atmosphere into nothing in short flare of light.
Something missing, something out of place, wandering a library without hurry. The bookshelves are to the ceiling, and splashed with red and brown and green and blue hardcovers.
Sunlight through twisted and old trees covered in lichen. Their branches barren, the sky crisp winter blue and fogged breath. Leaves and snow and ice crunch beneath my feet sending the vibrations up my leg but I can't hear because the silence is deafening in the old winter woods.
Bittersweet chocolate and starlight, and the sky reflected in the water below my feet.
Bittersweet Starlight, and a missing memory.
