The town he entered was crowded with people, though the town was small. His nose burned at the stench the air was tainted with, while the town's current state was burning his eyes. Wooden buildings as old as the dirt itself barely stood up, and shepherds have come to sell their sheep in the mist of the crowd. The technology era has now come to a pass.
Only elderly people still have memories of what we could only describe as heaven itself. They would swear from their toes to their heads that the place they grew up in was swarmed with buildings so tall they could even touch the clouds. They would tell you about riding objects that soured through the sky like the birds we see today. Crazy, impossible things they would say, and they said it was normal back then, and never appreciated it until it was gone. Posters of him stuck to the wooden walls of bars, and little huts, oh how famous he was. People kept their distance as he walked through, for they knew the man on the posters was him.
A short sword on his side, and a raggy hood covered his face. The sun was strong that day, not even the grass could take it, when only sand took its place. He walked through the crowds, his eyes, his nose, and all his senses were on high alert, for a hunter was in this very town. A strong hunter, known for his ruthlessness, his name gave the man shivers down his spine.
If he wasn't so hungry, if he wasn't so thirsty, if only his muscles weren't exhausted, he would have skipped this town and walked to the next. A hunter's town has eyes in every corner, the man knows he's been spotted by now. He walks up to a man selling chicken meat next to a woman selling vegetables.
"There you go lad, would you like a bag with the chicken?"
He looked at the short tan man, butterflies floating in his stomach "No thank you, have a good day." He started walking, going for the exit of this town, when a tall man walked up to him. A straw hat covered his eyes, but he could feel the heat his stare gave. "You look a little like the kid in the posters, you get that often?"
