The soldier stood outside the tent, rim-rod straight and glaring at everyone who passed. He held his rifle with practiced ease, his gloved hands falling into the grips naturally. The brawny soldier wore a heavy camouflaged vest bearing seven full mags and a combat knife.
He glanced down at his watch again. The bizarre soldier tapped his foot and glanced around again, scanning. He stopped, apparently his eye catching on two men moving towards the tent. He shouldered his weapon as they approached, saluting with his right hand.
"Greetings, colonel. Captain," he said, his voice strong, nodding to both of the men. "Please confirm identity."
The men nodded, following the procedure of stating their names and their ranks, then confirming further by taking a mobile fingerprint test. The soldier glanced up at each of the visitors as a picture popped up on the screen.
"Granted," he saluted again. "The general is awaiting you."
The men looked at each other and thanked the guard, striding purposefully through the entrance of the tent. The guard scanned the walkway once more before entering behind them.
"Ah, welcome!" The general's husky voice welcomed the two men walking in. "Please excuse the mess, I've had a lot of planning to do, obviously."
The two looked at each other, and the older of them said, "not a problem, ma'am." The other nodded and smiled, despite the circumstances. "Ma'am, if I may be so bold, may I ask why you called us here? I mean... I understand the problem but what do we have to do with it?"
"Straight to the point then." The general motioned to the seats infront of her desk. "Please sit." She looked at the soldier standing behind them. "Thank you, WO. Please return outside."
"Aye, ma'am," the soldier promptly saluted and walked out the tent.
He could hear the visitors and his general speaking together and laughing, but couldn't make out their words. He payed no mind when he heard the first punch start. The soldier could hear the beating that was occurring within the tent. Someone probably let the general down again. Not that it was his business, anyways. The soldier returned to his straight and glaring state. Approximately an hour or so passed before the visiting men walked out of the tent, led by the general. The captain bore a black eye and his nose was smeared with blood. He obviously hadn't taken a light beating. He winced whenever he took a step. The captain bore cuts on his arms and face. What did he do? The soldier shuddered mentally, though he was careful not to show outward emotion.
"WO you are now under the colonel's command." The general nodded to the colonel before walking back into her tent
The colonel watched her go before turning to the soldier and smirking. "Come along, WO. We have a mission to accomplish." He then glanced at his captain and sighed. "Captain, I expect that after this you will be more inclined to do what needs to get done, yeah?"
"Yes, sir." Replied the captain quietly.
"Are you ready, WO?" He grinned like a maniac.
"Yes, sir."
The group turned without a glance back and purposely walked to their new mission. Purposely to the destruction of their rivals.220Please respect copyright.PENANAHP43Y746zj
