I couldn't believe my eyes when I entered the other side. I stood on a landing over looking a huge company of people in in black and grey suits, and by the looks of it they were busy. They were everywhere. Some were in offices, and some were hurriedly rushing off on errands.
Looking up the ceiling was long LED light, with a sky fly as it's touch. Then I felt a sudden jerk on my arm. My head snaps down and I look at Evan. "Yeah, yeah yeah," he grabs my wrist and starts pulling me. "We can do this later, I have a meeting if you don't mind and I'm late." I pulled a face and starts walking. "That's not exactly my fault, you were the one who over slept. Not me."
We stopped at a elevator and got in. After a few minutes the door opened with a 'ding' revealing a reception office with some doors and stairway. There was a brunette young woman sitting at the reception office typing ever so feverishly. She looks up as we exited and let out sigh of relief. "Finally you're here, your dad has been waiting for ages." Then her eyes landed on me which were strikingly hazel. "Evan," She said strictly. "Who's this? "
He stepped around her and put an arm on her shoulder. "Riley, this is my sister," He said casually. "Can you not say anything about this." He asks sheepishly. She then gives out an exasperated huff. "Evan, you know the rules. " She said, "She can't be here. She's not a member, and that rule is strictly followed." He shrugged his shoulders. "She asked me to come so I let her. If he's mad then he'll be made at me, not you I promise. "Riley sighs then shrugs. "Okay," Then she turns to me. "I'm Riley, sorry about that conversation I'm sure you felt pretty comfortable." She smiles as we shook hands. I smiled guilty. "Yeah I did, just a little bit," I continued. "This is a secret agency after all."
She quickly passes glances and forth between Evan and me. "So she knows then?" She asks a bit intrigued. I chuckled a bit stiffly. "Yeah. I do."
"You probably feel so strange." She gave a light whistle.
"Wish I could get the deets, but you two should get going, like now."
We left the lobby and went up the stairs. We entered a hallway with bright green rough carpet and cream walls, a black double-leaf door and 2 elevators with a tall decore plant on both sides. "You'll have to stay out here." Evan says quietly.
"Why?" I whispered back. He gave me a sarcastic look. "Oh gee, what a great idea it would be to crash an important." He whispers jokingly, "Hey dad I'm your Long Lost Daughter!"
I flushed pink. "Right. Whatever. But, where am I suppose to go?"
"You'll figure that out yourself, I have to go." He proceeds to the door. "Bye bye." And he slips through the door, leaving me alone in the empty (But very elegant decore I must say.) hall.
I groaned helplessly. "Great now what I'm suppose to do? And who knows when he'll be back?" Then I started observing my surroundings.
Well, guess I'll be exploring this place now.
I cautiously walked up to the elevator on the left. As it opened I walked in and, randomly pressed the button to the 3rd floor. The door closed and I was off to wherever the elevator took me to.
