"Should I have the orders delivered on the day of prom or before?" Asked Millie Douglass, Alicia's mother. "Um.." I looked at my clipboard. "The day of prom. I think It would be great to have the foods on time." She nodded and made some notes. Then we finished our meeting at her office. I was walking home when a navy blue car pulled up beside me, then the windows rolled down, revealing Cassie with a four other girls in the backseat. "Get in, It's our girls' day out and were going to get our prom dresses." I frowned slightly looking at my clipboard. "I'd love to girls, but I've still have a lot on my plate right now." I heard some to the girls groaned and sighed. "So when are you going to get dress? Prom is in three weeks." Asked Jessica, who was at the staring wheel. I winced slightly. "That's true." I pictured myself rushing around on prom night like a total disaster. "Alright, fine let's get going, then" I opened the door and got in and off we went.
After trying on tons of dresses, getting ticked off by the mall cops we finally found our prom dresses. We sat down at a mini hot dog shop munching on the last of our lunch. Allyson, a dark-skinned girl looked at the watch on her wrist. "I texted my mom and I'm supposed to meet her outside the parking lot." She picked her bags. "I'll see you guys tomorrow." She left.
"Bye, Al!" We called after her.
A few other girls had begun to leave, till it just Jessica, Cassie and myself in the mall. We had a quick walk through then Jessica gave us a ride home.

I quietly walked down the hallway returning to my room I zoomed passed Evan's room, just in time to see a quick flash of a light that came from inside his room.
What was that?
I reversed back to his door. There was another flash again. I softly turned the doorknob and pushed the door open. I saw the odd black box Evan was holding the other night, scanning a shiny object on top of a small red pillow on his bed. A small creak in the door gave the game away and he turned my way in a flash. He quickly tried to block me from seeing what was on his bed, but obviously he failed. "Don't you people knock anymore?"
Well he's definitely hiding something
I eyed him curiously, an eyebrow raised. He tried to think of an explanation, but he couldn't. He sat on his bed. "Close the door and sit down. We have to talk." His voice was unusually serious with earn him my obedience. I sat on his chair next to his messy desk. He ran his hand through his hair.
"Do you remember dad's accident." I got a flash of the autopsy paper I found at Aunt June's. I Nodded slowly.
"Okay, good.. Remember the part where we said he was dead?"
"Yeah?"
"Well, he's alive." he said simply. "Way to add the suspense." I said driliy. "And I know that."475Please respect copyright.PENANAHAqIiZFcWZ
