Animato is acting weird lately. He is always zoning out. I don’t know why, but it scares me. I don’t know if I should be nervous or not. Last time he spaced out, he almost died. And it would’ve been my fault! He has been zoned out for a while now. He is laying on one side of the wall, his eyes locked at the door frame.
He wanted me to check the security cameras.
Anything for my Animato…
The hallway was seemingly longer than before. All my footsteps were louder than normal. My heartbeat was faster and louder. I could even hear the wind that blew right past me. It felt-Ominous…
I’m nervous. I’m scared. But why is there a point to be scared? What good does it do to be nervous?
I’m tough.
I’m strong.
Anything for my Animato…
I looked for as long as I could to find cameras. I looked everywhere I could possibly see. Every nook, cranny, and crevice was checked.
None. No cameras.
But I knew I couldn't come empty-handed. Not to him. I kept on searching for what may have been hours.
Still nothing.
I was mad. I was pissed. I looked around to find something to release my anger. My left has a door, which leads to a room. I kicked the door open. It wasn’t that hard to kick it.
I looked into the room.
What. Happened…
The whole room was black. Not a single item was any different color. It almost felt like darkness. Even with a light on, it just gets blocked off. I walk in slowly. The room isn't too big. Just enough to stand there with your arms out.
The floor was sticky. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t want to chicken out, but I don’t wanna just leave it.
Only one object was not black in this room.
A camera.
When my eyes locked on with the camera, I instantly lept to it. It wasn’t too far up. But after I ripped it out of the wall, and landed back on my paws, the floor felt, Different…
Everything felt different. It felt like the walls were closing into themselves.
I was stuck to the ground.
The walls then started to slowly inch together.
I needed to escape.
Anything for my Animato…
Using all the strength I possibly could have. I got one paw unstuck from the sticky goo underneath me. I made the longest stride I can make to try and see If I could get at least one leg out the door.
It was close, but one leg was out.
Then, using my other leg, I did the same thing, but had a little more spring than a step, which was like a leap. The momentum of the small leap I needed to escape the room.
Before I closed the door, I looked back to check the room.
Consumed. It looked like it was gone.
I shut the door so it wouldn’t spread. I don’t even know why the room was in that condition.
I checked my left hand.
The camera is still there.
I walked back to the room Animato stopped in.
He was asleep.
I went near him. He looked stressed. I wanted to make him feel happy. I wanted to help.
I layed up against him. My head rested on his shoulders. He laid his head onto my head.
I stayed there with him. He needed my company.
I turned my head slowly to check on him
He was smiling.
I wish this lasted forever.
