I feel so lonely sometimes,

Trapped in a world the size of dimes,

Never being able to break free,

The metal forever encasing me.

I fight it and fight it more,

And it saddens me to the core,

I will forever be in my own little world,

My only window the size of a pearl.

I can't understand what people see,

How they always underestimate me,

And I can paint and I can sing,

But their only window is the size of a ring.

And the pain is invisible,

The questions so quizzical,

And the sadness always leaves a mark,

But only on the inside does it remain dark.

Trapped in a world where no sun shines...

With no caregiver tomorrow or today...
