I rushed in Katie's house. She and I were on the phone when she told me she stood up by herself. I told her don't push herself but she did and fell. I saw her a few steps away from her chair. I quickly helped her up. I put her back in the chair but saw her face bruised up.
"You good?" I asked checking the rest of her off.
"Yeah, I just wanted to try." She cried and I hugged her. She has been making great progress. She could stand up by herself with no problem. We were working on the walking now. I went to say something but her brother and Moon came threw the door.
"You hit my sister." He went after me but Moon stopped him.
"Show your ass in here while my son is in here and you gonna fight me." Moon said.
"Bully I fell I called Kadence to help me up. I tried to stand up." Katie said.
"Did it work?" He asked.
"No." She lied. "Wait why are you guys back so early."
"I missed my son. We came right back after the fight." She said and he put his arms around her. You could tell he really loved Moon.
"So is this like a thing?" Moon smiled.
"We cool." Katie said.
"You trying to play match maker again Moon?" I asked.
"What?" Katie said.
"9n college Moon was the hottest match maker. Everyone use to pay her a grand just to simple meet somebody." I laughed.
"Moon you are sneaky." Katie laughed.
"Well my sister can't date nobody." Bully said.
"Bully you better stop that girl is grown trust the process." Moon smiled.
The stayed for a bit and then left. I decided to stay back and chill with Katie. Katie was a beautiful woman. If I saw her out and about i would try and talk to her. The wheelchair thing ain't bother me. When she came by for therapy we talked she was cool as fuck. She was funny, smart, had one hell of a sense of humor. Katie was dope as fuck.
"So you said match making again, she matched you before." Katie asked.
"My wife, she died a few years ago. I told Moon I was thing about dating again. Then she offers me a job with you. I can't lie and say I'm not seeing the common ground we got. I definitely like you but let's get you walking and see if you feel the same." I shrugged.
"And what if that never happens?" She snapped.
"Its gonna happen. I seen you a few steps away from your chair." I said.
"You know what maybe you should go." She said putting herself in the chair.
"Whats wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing, I'm tired I'm about to lay down." She said.
"Cool I'm gonna lay here, I don't feel like driving." I said laying on her couch.
