Dipper Pines was 12 years old, and this summer has given him way too much trauma. Gnomes chased him on his first week in Gravity Falls. Some of the trees in the forest have secret compartments inside of them, holding journals with no author. He's dealt with Ghosts, goofballs that are sentient, dinosaurs, and a one-eyed triangle! That's only a few of the 'adventures,' as his sister liked to call them, that Dipper has been through.
Dipper constantly looks behind him, feeling that a thousand eyes are watching his every move. He only feels the eyes when he's on these 'adventures.' When something meaningful in his life happens, these eyes are watching. But it's different than a normal 'I'm being watched' feeling.
He's realized the difference between being watched by creatures, specifically the one-eyed triangle from earlier, and the eyes that watch him on his adventures. He's talked with Mabel, his twin, about the feeling, but she tells him that he's being paranoid. His Great Uncle Stan says the same thing alongside Dipper's friends. But he knows something is going on.
Desperate times come for desperate measures, and even though the triangle demon possessed him, Dipper knows he'll have the upper hand in the deal. Summoning Bill wasn't too hard; following the instructions from the journal made it simple.
The summoning circle was drawn, the candles were lit, and the incantation was spoken. At first, Dipper thought it didn't work, as there was a small moment when nothing happened. But soon enough, the candle's flames grew and turned that all-familiar blue. Bill's laughter filled the forest, and the woodland creatures of Gravity Falls scattered far away from the area. The forest turned different shades of gray, showing that Dipper was in the mindscape. With a loud 'pop,' Bill showed himself inside the summoning circle.
"Well, now, look who it is! Pinetree, it's so good to see you! Though I thought you would be, ya know, not summoning me this soon after the possession. Did you miss me that much?"

"You seem confident, which I can respect. However, you know how I work, Pinetree! No favors without there being something in it for me. So... whatcha got for me?"
Dipper had thought long and hard about this before the summoning. He was well aware of how the demon worked and needed something that Bill could want. Dipper didn't know the demon well, but he did know one thing.
"You can possess my body again for a day. Mabel will be informed of the possession and will be by your side the entire time. You can explore everything Gravity Falls offers and do whatever you want as long as Mabel sees no harm in it."
"Hmm, what makes you think that's enough?"
"When you possessed me the first time, you mentioned how it's been a while since you had a human body. You could relive the glory days for a bit in exchange for answering one question. Do we have a deal?"
Dipper stuck his hand out to shake the demon's hand; if he hadn't shown that confidence, there was a strong chance that Bill would turn down the offer. Bill's laugh filled the area again, and the triangles hand lit up in a blue flame. They shook on it.
"Alright, Pinetree, what question do you have for me?"
Dipper sighed in relief, or maybe it was worry. If he was being honest, Dipper didn't think he would make it this far. But nonetheless, Dipper explained his situation. How eyes were on him at crucial moments of his life, how they disappeared when nothing strange was happening.
"Oh, that's easy to answer! You're a T.V. show, kid! You and Shooting Star are the main characters, and those eyes are your viewers!"
"Wait... What?"
"You know what I mean, Pinetree! Your existence is to provide entertainment, and I must say you're doing a great job at it! Standing here in the mindscape, you'll be watched by a select few."304Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡzsWcfjg4dH
It was hard to take in, to know that the reason for your birth was for entertainment purposes only. But, even with this information, Dipper knew he needed to fill his side of the deal. Just because he was fake doesn't mean that his life didn't mean something.
If people were watching him and finding joy in it, then he wasn't going to let them down. He knew the answer to the watchful eyes and hoped he could keep their attention till the end.
