It was almost like he was dying, which Ratchet had made pretty clear. He was dying, he refused to go back, he was afraid. Mina did her best to quell his condition, scanning it, and then opening a compartment in her chest pulling out some pills and handing them to him.

“We were talking, me and Laizo and then he erupted into a black smoke. The boy came out, rushed into her arms and was in a right panic. I don’t know what happened?”

“I get it, I get it, I guess it’s just something you can only deal with. I can’t see other you but that doesn’t mean I can’t keep supporting you. For now, let’s focus on helping Vince. As long as you’re not causing yourself any issues?” Alex smiled, patting his sister on her back.
“No. I’m not but what else could we do? We are still relatively new to all this, even if you and Dad have been here for two weeks.”
“Could just leave him behind.” Anderson says, leaning against the wall with Skoberi.
“Alright you were cool a second ago, now you’re just a douchebag. Why would we leave him?” Alex looked over at Anderson with a glare.

He’s useless, he’s a coward, and most of all he’s an obstacle to the actual useful part of him. His kind is already disgusting but I’d rather have one with use than one that’s free loading.” Vince would look down coughing again, Mina gently pat his head and took care of him to calm him down.

“Yes you are, maybe Vince has some skills we don’t know about. You’re just letting his current actions dictate his use.”

“Anderson.. Please. I know how you feel but we need them, we can’t let our emotions attack the greater objective.” Skoberi held Anderson’s hand and gently pulled him back.
“Hmmm…” Logan was watching all of this, eyes darting between everyone. He’d have said something but it was clear to him, his son had this on lock.
“Fine. We make that decision by morning, he goes or he gets lost.”
“Oye! How about-”

“Enough Anderson, we’ll continue our journey tomorrow. Once they meet the superiors, they train, grow, and finally understand the severity from wizened minds. It’ll all be better. For now. We need to just get them there. Then everything will be much better.”
