Elisa skipped to the door and opened it, a wide smile on her face. Mrs. Tanner stood outside with a certain look on her face.

“Elisa, dear,” she said, “have you seen my cat Julian around here? I heard a noise yesterday night but I didn’t pay mind to it. And today morning, Julian was missing. I was hoping if you’d seen him by any chance?”

“Sorry Mrs. Tanner, I haven’t seen even a glimpse of Julian at all,” Elisa said, apologetically, her clear blue eyes downcast.

“Oh, it's fine child!” Mrs. Tanner comforted her. “I’m sure I’ll find him somewhere.”

“Alright Mrs. Tanner!” she said, brightening up again.

The door closed and Elisa still had a smile on her face. She went to her room and knelt down near the bed, grinning when she saw the bleeding cat under the bed. She yanked it by the tail and hurled it to the center of the room. The cat whimpered and tried to crawl away from her.

“No, no, no,” she whispered. “Don’t go away little kitten. Be a good kitty now.”

Elisa took out a small knife, strangling the injured cat by the neck. She slowly drew patterns on its skin with the blade and the cat released a sound of pain. Elisa frowned, forcing open the jaw of the cat and slicing its tongue. She watched the cat whimper as the blood spilled down its mouth.

She hummed, looking down at her crimson-painted hands. She brought a finger to her mouth and licked off the blood. “This is so boring. I should try a new method.” She smiled again, bringing out a lighter.

Elisa gazed at the little fire she held. She threw the lighter onto the body of the unmoving body of the cat, watching it go up in flames and wails. She giggled happily and danced around the fire, humming the tune of ‘Twinkle, twinkle, little star’.

First off, I do not support animal abuse. Second, I absolutely suck at horror but I still wanted to attempt this. I don’t really know what I’m doing but I hope this entry is accepted for the horror theme and not just some random gore.
