I lay restlessly on the bed, staring at the ceiling of the room while thinking about the man I saw at the crossroads. The shadow of his face so mesmerizing is still the greatest in my mind, my heart is convinced that that man is the man who infiltrates every dream of mine. I tried to empty my mind, try to fall asleep as soon as I could to find the man and make sure that they were different figures.
My eyes were again open, staring at me, which had changed. I've fallen asleep, that's how I make sure of myself when I look at the ocean that's around me right now. The tightness filled my chest when I saw the sea break, my feet trying to move away from the shoreline.
"Why here?"
I'm trying to control my mind to change places, but no matter how hard I try this place doesn't change at all.
My legs were forced to move, now unable to move away from the lips of the beach. My body was frozen in place with a slow gust of wind that hit me,
"Sean, please..." I could only cry out in fear when I was in an undesirable place.
"Please..."
My hope is that I can really only be fixated on that man, he's able to control my subconscious and take me to a much better place than this place. However, the longer I've been glued to this place, the more sign of her presence is completely absent. My ears even beat when I heard the sound of the raging waves, and the sound of footsteps from the man I was waiting for was not heard at all.
Tired feelings of anticipation suddenly hit me, making me have to control my own fear and control the dreams I'm having. Every subconscious thing should be in my control, because everything here is mine.
Lucid dream, I'm suggesting to myself that this dream I can control. However, no matter how hard I try, the result stays the same, which is that I'm stuck in the same place.
"You're crying?"
A very unfamiliar voice was heard in my ear, making my eyelids open and staring at the owner of the voice. His hand was stretched out to wipe my tears that were still flowing, but I quickly held back his hand.
"Who are you?" I asked in a trembling voice.
"Your future," he whispered softly in my ear.
I stepped back away from the man, and realized that my feet were no longer sagging sand on the beach, but small grasses.
"Why are you here? Where is he?"
I looked at him with seriousness. All this time there was only one man who appeared in my dreams, and that was Sean, not this guy.
The man smiled and looked at me with a hard look in his eyes, making the heart flutter erratic. He stepped close to me, looking at my two eyeballs closely, "I should have been the one who was with you, not him."
His hand gently rubbed my head and slowly took me into his arms. I wanted to fight back and let go of this stranger's embrace, but my body was kind of familiar with his embrace and chose silence.
"Let go," I pushed her gently, making the distance between the two of us.
"I miss you, Cassy..."
Her eyes glistened at me, as if there was a very heavy longing inside her. However, I don't understand at all what kind of longing he has for me, the person he may have first met.
"My name is Diana, not Cassy."
I resisted the strange longing that suddenly appeared inside of me, my feet choosing to step away and walk away from the man. My brain forced me to wake up from a strange dream like this. The feelings and actions I did today were strange, and the man I met in my dreams wasn't the one I was looking forward to all the time.
The alarm from my phone managed to wake me up from that strange dream. The body is sitting confused on the edge of the bed, and my brain is trying to process the dreams I've had tonight. But of all the strangeness, I'm just worried about it. That man didn't show up in my dreams tonight, but a strange man came up to me with a look of resisting longing.
"Akgh!" I gently hit my head to end this strange thought.
This morning I have a morning class that needs to be attended, and I'd better think of a way to get to campus as soon as possible because the clock is 6:30 a.m., and the class starts at 8 a.m. Unfortunately my house is about an hour away without traffic, and half an hour if there's a regular traffic jam on the main roads.
At full speed, my motorcycle travels between cars that may feel slow for now. Several times I overtook loaded trucks with very thin distances, making the driver yell at me.
Maybe right now I'm like a wild racer, but it's stupid to think people are right now. The clock is 7:51 a.m., and the distance to campus is still in ten minutes.
Thanks to the strong determination to ride a motorcycle at full speed, I reached the parking area of the faculty before eight o'clock. Without taking off the helmet on my head, my legs ran straight into the classroom as fast as they could. Unfortunately, I forgot the fact that morning classes were held on the third floor, and there was absolutely no elevator in this old faculty building, making me have to go back to my breath to get up those steps quickly.
"Shit!"
I grunted bitterly when I was behind the entrance. The new lecturer must have entered the class, and it is certain that my chances of entering the room are very small because of the culture here that is still very strange in terms of discipline.
The helmet that was on my head was released in a hurry, I also did my clothes with a stick before knocking.
"Excuse me, sir," I said with a breath that still lingered. My head peered into the classroom, saw if there would be a code from a new lecturer who taught to let me in. My good guess turned out to be true, the professor stopped his introduction and allowed me to enter the room with a sharp look in my eye.
To be honest, I was a little surprised when I saw the face of the new professor, he really looked like a strange man coming out of my dream.
"Why so late?"
He looked at me with a cold face, very much different from the expression I saw in the dream. That strange feeling came back into my chest, the familiar feeling of his cold face was like I've seen it over and over again. Strange, that's how I feel right now.
"The road to campus from my house this morning was jammed," I answered with an answer that might have been heard by my friends. Besides, the fact that my home is close to campus has been known to a lot of people here.
His irritating voice was clearly heard in my ear, and it soon led me to the conclusion that the opportunity to enter the class was lost.
"Well, since this is my first class here, then I'll let you in."
My guess seems to be wrong about the kick out of the class, the new professor's heartily giving me a chance to get into the class. As I stepped into the back seat, I found a sharp look that followed me at every step, and that was the look from Bianca who was very familiar to me.
"Okay, I will continue the introduction that was delayed earlier," said the new lecturer.
