You turn and walk away from Chris, and eventually you see your group up ahead. As you walk toward them, you see Michonne look back at you with a concerned expression. You can tell that she could tell you were talking with someone and she's not surprised to see that you look uncomfortable. She meets you halfway and asks, "Did you run into someone? Is everything alright?"
"Heh...yeah I'm fine. I did meet another survivor named Chris at some sort of medical research facility down the road. I asked him dad's three questions. Apparently, he killed over a thousand walkers, and two people. One he said was an accident, and the other was too painful for him to talk about. He seemed nice enough but...I want to go back with dad, my brother, you, Glenn, and Daryl. You guys are better judges of people than I am, and if dad thinks it's a good idea, we could let him join our group," I explained to Michonne.
Michonne nods and considers your response. She says, "That sounds like a good idea. I'd like to meet him before we allow him to join the group."
She pauses for a moment and adds, "Do you think you can convince him to come back to camp with us? We should ask his help in clearing the other buildings." Michonne looks down the road and then offers you a small smile. "Thanks for dealing with him. I know it's not easy for you to talk to new people on your own."
"Yeah, I mean he's been on his own for a while it sounds like so I don't think it'd be a problem convincing him to join us. I just don't want to be the one to do it, not yet anyway," I said.
Michonne nods and says, "You don't have to. If you'd like, I can go talk to him."
She pauses and says, "It's okay if it's just me. I wouldn't mind." She looks back up the road towards the medical facility, and then back to you. "Are we ready to head back to camp then?" Michonne finally asks.
I nod. "Yeah, but let's go talk to him tomorrow with dad, Carl, Glenn, and Daryl. I'm tired from being out all day."
Michonne nods and says, "Of course. You've done enough for one day." She pauses and offers you a small smile. "I'm proud of you. You did really well out there today."
Michonne gestures back towards the others and adds, "I'll walk back with you if you want." The others are almost here now and you see them walking over. Carl is walking with Beth, and he looks up at you as he gets closer and smiles warmly.
"Thanks, Michonne," I smile back. Then I notice my brother and run up to him. "Hey Carl," I greet as I hug him.
Carl smiles and hugs you back, then asks, "Hey Ae. Was it scary out there? Who'd you find out there?"
Beth smiles and says, "Hello Allie." Daryl, Glenn, and Rick are all there too now.
Daryl smiles at you and says, "Hi Allie. Looks like you brought back some supplies."
"Yup! Ran into a few walkers but nothing I couldn't handle," I reply to Daryl with a chuckle, then I turn back to my brother. "Nah, it wasn't scary. Just found another survivor named Chris. Speaking of which, I think tomorrow morning, you, dad, Michonne, Daryl, Glenn and I should go back and talk to Chris again," I reply to Carl. Then I look over to my dad. "If you think he should join us, I don't think we'd have a problem convincing him," I told my dad.
Your dad considers your response for a moment before saying, "Yeah. I think that's a good idea. I'd like to meet him too. We could use the extra help for sure."
Carl nods and says, "Sounds good to me. If he can help clear those buildings, we could get them done a lot faster."
Michonne and Daryl both agree. "If Chris seems like a nice guy, I'm not opposed to trying to recruit him," Michonne says.
Daryl nods and adds, "Me either."
