Eventually I made it to Hogwarts, I was two days early but Dumbledore said it was fine, and my room was ready, and they were nice enough to remember I was Slytherin so my room was in the dungeons. So I settled in and then went to greet everyone. Of course I got lost things have changed a little.

I was walking so fast I didn't watch out for anything so I ended up running into someone. I closed my eyes waiting for the impact of the floor that I had gotten so used to but...it never came instead I felt a strong firm grip around my waist I looked up and saw the most beautiful and deep, dark obsidian eyes that you could get lost in. He helps me stand up straight and I finally get a good look at him his black cloak covering his white dress shirt, black dress pants and his shoes.

"Jade! Oh I'm so glad your back" he pulls me into a small hug. "Sorry what?" I look at him confusion most likely written all over my face "it's me Severus" a wide grin spreads across my face and I jump up and hug him tightly.

"You didn't?...I wrote you everyday though I never got a response so I should've figured that out" we finally stop hugging and I notice he's just staring at my neck "what's that?" I smack his hand that's rising to my neck. I cover my neck with my hair and just pick a random hall to go down internally screaming at myself.

When I put her down I finally get a good look at the bruise on her neck and like I thought it's a handprint I put my hand up to touch it feeling concerned but she immediately slaps my hand away and speeds of down a random hallway - which is the wrong hallway - I know what abuse looks like and that's definitely it unless something else happened but that's not important right now.

"Jade stop that's the wrong way!" She froze and turned around covering her neck with her hair. I decided that I wasn't gonna ask instead I'd make a deal.

"If you agree to let me show you the way to the hall then I promise I won't ask about it anymore today but no promises for tomorrow, so...? she looks at me with those beautiful winter grey eyes and that beautiful black hair that goes all the way to her- NO Severus stop thinking like that. "Ok deal" she says snapping me out of my endless internal rambling "let's go"
We make our way to the hall it takes a little time but when we finally arrived everyone bombarded her with questions seeing as some were her former teachers.
After everyone talked to her for a while I asked her if she wanted a tour of the grounds she jumped in excitement but immediately calmed down and the light that was swimming in her eyes a second ago just vanishes and it makes me wonder what really happened to her. She was so joyful as a kid, it annoyed me sometimes but to see her like this makes me want to go back in time to see her all excited about walking.
We make our way through the halls after saying goodbye to everyone and then we head outside and walk for awhile one silence but it's a comfortable silence. Eventually we start talking and joking.

"So you hid it in the closet...I just wanna know who hides that kind of thing in a closet" she laughs and shows that breathtaking smile and once again I'm lost in her overwhelming beauty "it was a reflex and I had to do something or she was gonna figure everything out and shut us down" I throw my hand up in surrender and it's to late when I realize that was a bad idea because she immediately flinches and that causes her to trip and hurt her leg a little "don't hurt me" like a reflex her arms go up to protect herself "jade I'm not gonna hurt you that's one thing I can promise you I won't do" I'm not normally a nice person but no one was really nice to me except lily and that didn't help very much it didn't take away the pain so I know that she needs a friend not an enemy "come on get up and let's get that leg checked out" I help her up even though she's hesitant I pick her up up bridal style and carry her to to the medical wing.

I felt like I could trust him because I practicality knew everything about him but I haven't seen Or talked to him a long time. After he took me to poppy, he took me to my classroom and helped me settle things in and get the lesson plans ready I always excelled in all my classes I was a straight A student that's some of what made me and sev friends "Sev?" He looks at me with those dark obsidian eyes "yes jade".

"Sorry about what happened outside" he looks at me again and chuckles "jade you don't have to apologize I get it" I walk to the window and the night sky is filled with stars "the night sky is just as beautiful as I remember" he walks and stands next to me and says "it's always beautiful".

"Hey do you remember when we were 15 and we snuck in here to watch the stars dance around the sky?" He thinks for a minute "yeah then we almost got caught by professor Mcgonagall" we both laugh and take a seat.

I'm excited but nervous it's my first day of teaching. I got up a little early and showered and styled my black curls that go all the way to my waist. Then I get dressed and head to breakfast. I'm standing in front of the hall doors my nerves are taking over I haven't been in front of a lot of people in a while. Dumbledore is finishing his speech "please welcome your new DADA teacher Professor Blane". He says my name but I'm glued to my spot and I can't breathe, my chest is moving rapidly "aren't you gonna go in" I turn around and see sev "I-I'm h-having a-" I can't even finish my sentence I fall to my knees violently shaking and I feel tears prick my face. He immediately runs over to me and pours a potion in my mouth, it tastes disgusting and I end up passing out in his arms but before everything goes black the hall doors open -I'm gonna be so embarrassed when I wake up - and on my first day to.
