Chapter Two
Vernon Dursley was a big man who worked for Grunnings. He was a strong worker, and a Muggle, (non-magical folk); he was married to Petunia Dursley, and they had a son, Dudley. For some reason, they lavished their son with presents, and made sure his school uniform was clean; they didn't care about Harry Potter, because he lived under the stairs, and away from them. Harry didn't care about them. In his mind, the strange people he did see were waving at him, and speaking his name with awe. That, and the idea, that he did see giants coming towards the house delivering his mail, and that there was someone called Professor Albus Dumbledore. 'Come on, Harry! Hurry up!', Dudley yelled.
Harry, who was eleven, stared at him like he was someone from the dark world he saw in a weird place called Knockturn Alley, (a place in London which caused him to shiver); Harry waited. 'Don't make me angry, Dudley'. He threatened to use magic on him. He didn't think he could use magic. The idea formed in his mind, and then he knew he was in trouble. 'Mum! Dad! He is hexing me', Dudley said. Harry waited. Hexing him. That was a weird thought! It was August 30, 1997. He got a letter. He saw that it was addressed him.
