It was quiet in the squad car as it flew by; passing the ongoing traffic that had become the norm for that of the night hours. Street lights illuminated the area in a showcase of white lights while several businesses still opened advertised their wares in brilliant colors. Not many walked the streets at that time, not if they didn't have the right permits, which weren't many, but the city was still quite alive. Delinquency still occurred on a regular basis and tonight was of no difference. However, a certain raven didn't seem to have any intentions on taking care of business as he should, as a leader should. Instead, he seemed more intent on finding where their newly acquainted friends had gone.
"Princess."
The one named as such didn't bother to pull his gaze from the window. Keeping his hands in his lap, he lowered his gaze to view the streets far below before shifting in his seat when he heard the hated nickname once more.
"For the last time, I told you not to call me that, Tyson," he said, slowly bringing his gaze towards the man before opting to look out the window once more. "You're so insufferable."
"You're not necessarily in good company either, Princess."
"Stop it."
"Or what?" Looking over at the paler officer to see him in the midst of glaring, red eyes rolled before focusing on the street again. "That glare ain't scaring anyone, Prince-"
Sighing exasperatedly, Evren undid his seatbelt. "I can't deal with this right now."
"What are you doing?"
"Leaving."
"We're moving," Tyson stated.
"So what. You're an insufferable man and I don't want to ride in the same vehicle as you, especially with you as the driver," Evren said as he tried to unlock the door. "Open it."
"No."
"Open. It."
"N-o."
Glaring momentarily, Evren placed his hand on the door, watching as Ty flinched at the quick, bright light that filled the cab. Pushing at the door, the smaller of the men watched his superior officer before sliding back and out of the vehicle the moment the car door was standing at its vertical angle. Hearing a direct order to stay put, Evren tensed considerably before landing in a crouched position on the roof of a third-story building. Seeing how the squad car came to a complete stop, Evren took a slight step back before stepping off the roof completely.
Landing in a crouch, the man looked up at he heard his leader ordering him to return. Sticking to the shadows, he shorted out a few of the streetlights to cover his tracks before quieting the radio that was attached to his shoulder. Watching the roof, he headed in the direction opposite to that of the main street and began a solo patrol by foot.
Work with Tyson was more than difficult.
It was impossible.
The man was clingy.
He was abrasive.
He had no sense of code.
Hell, he'd probably hit on anything that stood on two feet.
"Idiot," he muttered as he brushed the ashen strands from his equally pale face.
His attention then went towards a side alley as he heard the sound of something colliding with what could've been a dumpster. Walking into the darkness, he held up his hand to shed a bit of light. What he found was a group of delinquents, perhaps no younger than eighteen or nineteen but no older than twenty-two or so. That, however, wasn't the thing that caught the officer's attention.
Proceeding forward, he pushed one of the younger criminals aside in order to give attention to the startled looking teenage girl that was probably no older than sixteen. Taking a knee, he examined the scrapes on her knees and the cuts to her arms and clothes before brushing her black hair aside. Studying her face for a second or two, he noticed how her large, brown eyes seemed to widened fractionally before reaching out behind him. Curling his fingers around what he caught, he then bent it up and backwards prior to slowly turning his head to look at whatever was behind him.
First he noted the switchblade that glinted in the low light. Noting the man's expression soon after, Evren threw him aside to sidestep a second knife. Feeling a third graze down his back, cutting through the uniform he had been and carving at skin, he staggered forward before reaching around to feel the blood that began to run. Staring at its bright color along his otherwise pale skin, mismatched eyes narrowed. Hearing a startled sound come from the teen he had been observing, he looked in her direction to see one of the others trying to yank her to her feet at knife point. Taking a step in her direction, he stopped when her eyes widened again prior to watching her flail about, pointing at something behind him.
Turning around, he clapped both hands against a longer blade, stopping it before tilting slightly to the right to see the attacker's face. Watching him carefully, he tensed when he caught a presence behind him but was caught off guard when his current opponent tilted the blade, pulling it away and cutting the palms of the officer in the process. Dropping his hands to his sides, Evren balled them into fists to stop some of the bleeding before glaring at the one that had cut him. Seeing the slight smile pulling at man's face, the policeman tilted his head at a small angle before taking a step to the side. His movement, though, came a bit too late, giving him the displeasure of feeling a knife dragging its way down the center of his shoulder blades. Holding in a low growl, Evren hunched his shoulders before stumbling towards a wall. Once against it, he exhaled heavily before pushing himself off when one of the delinquents attempted to cut at him again. Instead of blade touching skin, the attacker got to feel a boot-clad foot connect with his side to send him colliding against the opposite wall. When he sank to the ground, two more came towards the officer, one receiving the same treatment after several dodges while the other got a fist to the face, breaking his nose and several teeth in the process. And looking towards the one that had shoved the girl aside in favor of sizing him up.
The one armed was taller and of a larger build. As he took a step forward, Evren took one back prior to stepping over his opponent's friend's body. Backing into a dumpster, the officer looked behind him then back at the man the moment he went to make a move. Dropping down into a crouch when the man thrust the knife forward, the paler male was taken by surprise once more when the other's foot shout forward to catch him in the chest and head, yet Evren blocked it by holding his arms up in front of him.
Feeling his shoulder connect to the brick wall, the officer grimaced when his vision started to become hazy. Grabbing hold of the shoe when it came around again, Evren pushed the male back, causing him to stumble on his partner that was still leaning on the opposite side of the alley. Pushing himself up to his feet, he began to totter prior to leaning against the wall for support. Tilting his head in the girl's direction, he began to make his way over to her before a hand tugged him back then into the wall. A fist then caught him in the chest, knocking the air from his lungs though he remained standing as he bowed his head. As a hand yanked his hair, jerking his head up, Evren made out a blade being pointed at him though he didn't really catch the words being said since he couldn't quite stop the world from spinning. All too soon did he catch what sounded like the dreaded nickname he had been given.
Starting to get a bit cold, Evren looked over at the girl cowering before noticing how hot it seemed to get. As he started to smell something burning, he blinked his eyes to clear his vision before focusing on the hand that was clamped tightly over his captor's mouth. Feeling the heat radiating from the hand, increasing in temperature as the seconds past, the officer straightened before noticing that the arm that was holding the knife was wrenched back behind him.
"Don't," Evren muttered as he started to lower his head. "Don't…"
Feeling his hair being released, he sank to one knee, reaching back to press a hand to his back before looking up when he heard the sound of something colliding with the dumpsters several feet away from him. Making out the blurred outline of the man that nearly stabbed him, Evren noticed that he had holding his hand to his chest as his eyes were focused on whoever was approaching him. Shifting his gaze a bit, Evren lowered his sights to see the blurred red outline that appeared to be coming from another's hands. In one of them, he made out the outline of a knife though it wasn't sharp or straight like it had been.
It looked like it was melting.
Melting…? Seeing spots momentarily, Evren cracked his eyes open, not knowing he closed them, to see the scorching red metal get flung across the other man's face. Hearing a scream, the officer sat up painfully before he held his hand out to the other. "Stop; don't do it…"
"Why?"
"You can't; it's against the law."
He listened to a somewhat dark chuckle. "I am the law."
"Ty…"
Looking back at his teammate, Tyson looked back down at the one he had been dealing with. Crouching down in front of him, he held out his hand in front of the other before offering a smile. "Looks like he saved your ass butif I see you next time, no matter what time or day, I'll end you and send whatever is left to NAP for attacking an officer, ok?" He then rose to his feet before kicking the man into the center of the alley when he didn't move. "Get going because that's as nice as I'm going to be." His attention then went to the girl that had yet to leave. "Go home," he ordered, "and don't get caught in some shady alleyway again, got it?" She nodded quickly before running away, uttering something to a thanks though the raven wasn't listening. "As for you-"He knelt down in front of the paler man to see that he was looking even paler than usual. "-why on earth would you even come here?" Not receiving an answer, he sighed heavily as he pulled his partner from the wall to have him lean against him. "Princess, you're really stupid, you know that?"
Pulling out his key, the raven clicked the call button before pulling his partner to his feet with much difficulty. Grimacing at the amount of blood left on the ground, Tyson looked over the man's shoulder to see the red liquid contrasting against the other's back. Looking over his own shoulder when the squad car came to a hovering stop, Tyson practically dragged Evren towards it before putting him in the backseat.
"Wh-"
"Why didn't you do anything?" the raven asked once they were moving again. "You got your ass kicked by a group of D-level criminals because you decided not-"
"The girl-"
"Is fine," he finished. "I told her to go home and not to get caught again." Adjusting the rear view mirror, red eyes focused on the officer's hazy, mismatched pair. "Princess?"
"Yeah…?
Stopping the car, Tyson turned around in his seat.
There was no snappy comeback.
There was no denying of that name.
"Evren, I'm taking you to a hospital, alright?" Not getting much of an answer from him, the raven, began driving once more.
Tyson knew they were capable of losing a substantial amount of blood and still be able to complete a job but Evren was different compared to him, Alexis, and especially Scarlet. With him not speaking much, or really moving for that matter, it was a safer bet to take him to a hospital since HQ was at least another twenty minute drive.
That and it'd be scary to see how the Director would act when he'd give his brief on what exactly had transpired to put Evren in such a state.

"Hold still; this won't hurt a bit…well, maybe a little." The young raven boy had pulled his arm away, simply to have the limb pulled back down to be strapped to the arm of the chair. "If you don't want to be hurt, stop moving."
"W-wait a m-minute!"
Wide eyes watched the large needle before squeezing shut as the syringe pierced his skin.
All too soon did Calix open his eyes to see bright, almost blinding florescent lights hanging from the ceiling. Feeling something cold travelling up his arm, he tilted his head slowly, blinking a couple of times to clear his vision. Spotting the small needle in his arm, he followed the line to the IV bag. Watching the clear liquid drip slowly, Cal traced the needle under his skin before yanking it out then tossing it aside. Flexing his fingers slowly, he touched the side of his head when he felt dizzy.
Hearing the beep of a heart monitor, he looked over at it prior to tracing the lines from it to his chest. Pulling the pads off, he tossed them aside, ignoring how the reading flat lined almost instantly. Climbing out of bed, he jumped as his feet touched the cold, white tile before looking around quickly. Taking a step from the bed, Calix looked around once more before making his way to the door. Turning the knob, he took a slight step back when he was greeted with a man dressed in white.
"Ah, you're up," he stated as he began to pull off a pair of gloves, noticing when the raven took a slight step back.
"Don't run away. You won't get far."
Taking another step when the man came closer, Cal looked around frantically before swatting away the hand that had reached out to him. He then pulled his hand to his chest prior to doubling over when he felt a pain radiate throughout his entire body.
It felt like he had been hit by a car.
"It's only going to hurt more if you try to run."
Feeling a hand rest upon his shoulder, tightening subtly, the teen brushed the hand off. Not quite catching what the man said after putting his hand back on his shoulder, Calix grabbed a hold of it.
"Leave me alone!"
Snapping the hand back, Cal elbowed the man in the chest before dropping his elbow down onto his back. Sidestepping him when he dropped to his knees, Calix hurried out of the room and down the hall.
"You there!"
"You there!" Looking over his shoulder, Cal slowed his pace to see two other men stepping towards him. "We don't want to hurt you…so don't make us."
The sterile coloring of the place, the people, the low yet annoying hum of the lights above all seemed familiar.
It seemed too familiar.
"Leave me alone," he warned as he held out a hand in front of him. "Just-"
Bumping into another, the teen slowly looked over his shoulder to see another one of the workers behind him.
"Don't fight us or this could get a whole lot worse, kid."
Taking a step away from him, he held up a hand in front of him before backing away. Turning, he sprinted down the smaller corridor before rounding a corner. Hopping over a wheelchair, he looked over his shoulder when he thought he heard the sound of footsteps chasing after him.
"Stop running, kid!"
Looking over his shoulder once more, Cal slowed down when he came across a dimmer corridor. Hearing his heart race, he placed a hand to his chest the moment he felt a twinge of pain. Picking up on the sound of what could've been the workers in white, he hurried down the hall before sinking to the floor the moment he felt a pain shoot down his back. He dropped down to his knees when it felt like his legs wouldn't support him any longer. Feeling the pain increase, he fell forward, catching himself before he hit face first onto the floor.
"Where are you?"
"Where are you?"
"We're not gonna hurt you…"
"We're not gonna hurt you, kid."
Glancing at the nearest door when his lower half felt unresponsive, Calix pulled himself towards the room and grabbed a hold of the knob. Using it to get to his feet, he exhaled heavily before realizing the door was locked. Moving towards another then another to find out that they too were locked, he sank to his knees when he came to the last door. Hearing the sound people coming closer, he grabbed hold of the door prior to turning the knob. When it opened slightly, he leaned against the wooden object before falling forward.
"Hmm, what's this?"
Picking up his head, Cal stared a black boots. Bringing his gaze up slowly, brown eyes widened slowly before locking with a dark red pair. Sitting up quickly, he winced noticeably as he scooted back to get away from the officer that had knelt in front of him. Flinching when the man reached out to him, Calix brought a hand up in defense before holding his sides as a pain radiated throughout the rest of his body. As he fell over, curling in on himself slowly, the taller male got back to his feet.
"Hey, what should we do with him?" Tyson asked as he looked at his partner that was in the process of observing his stitches.
Mismatched eyes drifted over to regard the balled up teen curled up on the tile. Sliding off the table, he made his way over to him before taking a knee. Placing a hand upon his shoulder, he noted the subtle flinch before rolling him over. His own eyes then widened fractionally when Calix grabbed a hold of his sleeve.
"E...Evren…" he muttered before dropping his hand back down to the floor. "…h-hurts…"
"You'll be ok…"
"Um, you'll be ok," Evren said quietly, watching as brown eyes became cloudy, unfocused.
"But…"
"You'll be ok…C…Calix."
Receiving a slight nod, Evren watched as the teen collapsed on himself, exhaling heavily. Scooting away from the younger man, the officer got back to his feet but not before noticing the curious stare that was upon him.
"You said his name."
"What of it?" he questioned as pulled on his top.
"How do you know it?"
"I was at his school once."
"Uh-huh…" Ty drawled as he looked at the unconscious raven. "What should we do with him?"
"Nothing," Evren replied. "He's obviously injured."
"You've seemed to comfort him to an extent." Evren shrugged one shoulder, wincing as he felt the pull of a few stitches. "How do you know him?" Tyson asked.
"I don't."
"Well, I don't believe you."
"Believe what you want. I already told you that I don't know him," he replied as he sat back on his bed. "He's just some kid that haves a knack for running into me." He then looked at his leader. "At least put him on the bed. It'd be a nuisance if someone trips over him and gets hurt."
"But of course, Princess," Ty replied as he knelt down to grab a hold Cal.
Transporting him to the bed, he dropped him, nearly ungracefully before heading towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Evren questioned as he rubbed at the stitches running down the center of his back.
"To make a phone call; just sit tight and look pretty."
