Well, it finally happened. The Fabulous Spec-Fic Smackdown has published the participant list for round four, and I've been eliminated. Quite frankly, I'm surprised I made it this far, since every part of this has been a stretch for me, so I'm not upset. And I'm not stopping. This has been such a fun project, and I decided early in the contest to keep following it on my own when I got eliminated, and I'll be doing just that. The next prompt? Write a Christmassy science fiction story featuring a sassy heroine in less than 5,000 words by December 14th. I've never written a Christmas story or Science Fiction before, so this will be interesting.33Please respect copyright.PENANA53NKKrLVaE
I've also decided on a new title for the book, but I'm leaving it as is right now, because I've entered it in a few awards and I'm still following the original contest. Eventually, the new title will be "Prompted," and I'll pull from random prompts around Wattpad for each new chapter. Not sure about a schedule. Maybe once a month? That could work. Pick something the first of the month, challenge myself to write it by the end of the month.33Please respect copyright.PENANAR1w1WQqQ6B
s for the format...I think I want to keep this a short story anthology, meaning every chapter can be read and enjoyed on its own, without reading any of the material that came before it. That's a big challenge for me, because short stories aren't my thing. But I also want to keep going with the same characters and world, creating an underlying story as well. So...we'll see how this goes.33Please respect copyright.PENANAaqJaw9h4jq
(I have a feeling this will just turn into a novel.) XD
