“Finally, our greatest mageka handled three vampires perfectly. Didn’t she?” Kou entered my room and spoke proudly to me early in the morning. Even though it was a compliment, I could hear a trace of sarcasm.
“As you like.” I said listlessly.
“Wow…I called you ‘the greatest mageka’ and you didn’t make any comment.” After hearing my answer, Kou seemed unhappy about it. She sat on the side of the bed and looked at me, as if trying to force me to respond.
“I hope you can see that I’m not in the mood,” I poked my head out of the duvet and said impatiently. Her gaze was too much for me.
“Oh really? Why? Should I call you ‘Princesa’?” She kept speaking to me.
"You walked into my room when I was sleeping, and woke me up to talk to me. How can I respond to you in a good mood? And don't call me ‘Princesa’. I hate that title."
What’s wrong with her?
I could not stand it anymore, so I decided to be serious.
“I see… But you don’t look so tired to me. You seem to be in a good mood.” It did not work on Kou.
“I'm not in a good mood, okay? Get out of my room! Because of you, I’m still awake. Just come back in two hours!” I turned over and let the duvet wrap around my head. I did not want to talk with her.
“Well…Then see you later.”
After hearing the door close, I relaxed.
The person who just disturbed my dream, Kou, was right. I did handle three vampires successfully, but I did not know if the process was perfect or not.
Perhaps because I have not used magical power to fight Dark Creatures for such a long time, I felt exhausted. I was so tired that I still did not want to get up. Luckily, today was Sunday. Otherwise, I would have to take a sick leave from work or be drained at work and then get laid into by the bitchy boss.
It seems that I have to do more exercise on weekdays to avoid being unable to get up after killing ‘vampires’ at night.
My body was weary. However, after being disturbed by that lady, I was wide awake and could not fall back asleep, no matter what.
Fine. I’ll just lay on the bed and think about it!
Based on the fight last night, ‘vampires’ seemed to be low-level Dark Creatures. They were unintelligent, mainly relied on their instincts to act, and their dark magical force was low - meaning that their overall magical power was weak. They could not be compared to advanced Dark Creatures such as Dragons and Black Ravens at all. It seemed weird to me.
How did ‘vampires’ come to be?
I met a ‘vampire’ that was human in appearance but had lost its soul last night. Could there be a ‘vampire’ who was human in appearance but also had a soul?
If not, it would mean that the ‘vampire’ had only three levels: corpses that have been sucked to death, retainers who have been sucked, and the leader who commanded all vampires - let’s name that leader as ‘King’ for now. The food chain was clear and simple. However, if there really was a ‘vampire’ who was human in appearance but still had a soul, then the theory I started thinking about last night would be untenable.
A ‘vampire’ was, according to myth, a creature that sucked human blood and turned them into their partners. The blood was the same as our energy and also represented their magical power.
Do ‘vampires’ want magical power, or is it just a desire to suck blood?
If the latter is true, do they suck animal blood?
Also, if ‘vampires’ create retainers by sucking blood, how did the first ‘vampire’ come about?
Most importantly, why does this world have ‘vampires,’ but Glace doesn't?
Glace was like a mirror of this world. Whatever existed in this world also existed in Glace; meanwhile, Glace’s creatures would also appear in this world. I had checked all the books I brought from Glace, but I could not find any records about ‘vampires’.
What secrets does this mysterious Dark Creature hold?
It seems that if we want to find the truth, we must use ‘that thing’.
I instantly thought of a thick, wine-red book.
But ‘that thing’... Fine. Maybe I’ll work harder!
If I used ‘that thing’, ‘she’ would definitely brag.
This time, I want to prove that I don’t just have strong magical power!
From now on, I have to go out every one to two nights to fight ‘vampires’! There must be more clues.
So first, just take a nap!
Before I closed my eyes, it occurred to me that the fight last night was exactly what I had wanted to do for three years.
Finally, something interests me.
I smiled and went to sleep.26Please respect copyright.PENANAZpL2JpIauM
