You sat there on the ground and thought about the whole situation while Blair looked at you. Al was still fast asleep. “So, what are we going to do?” Blair asked you with a confused face.
It all seemed very odd to you that the adults are looking for the sword under the control of aliens while Al here was looking for it too.
“Wake Al up Blair, I need to ask him something.” Blair nods at you. She turns to Al and pokes his little alien head.
Al quickly opens its eyes and begins to tilt his head almost in a confused state. “Al, are you the one controlling the adults that are also looking for the ancient sword?” Al lifts his hand and make a strange hand gesture.
Blair looks and instantly knows what it means. “Al says no.”
“Blair, how do you know that?”
“Al’s hand gestures are like a code word. I’m learning code, so it makes sense to me. Besides I can sense an energy from Al ever since we met. That energy tells me everything. I think eventually, when he trusts you, he will share that bond with you.”
“Bond?” To you it sounded very strange, and you felt it wasn’t the best idea to just willingly trust an alien from another planet and not know its true intentions. Blair trusts him, but you weren’t ready just yet to trust a stranger. That’s when you acted quickly and grabbed Blair’s hand and made a run for it back to your house leaving the invisible force field.
You quickly looked over shoulder as you ran, you noticed that Al wasn’t running after you. “Hey! What are you doing Kal?”
“We can’t just trust that thing!” You let go of Blair’s arm once you reached the safety of your backyard. “We’re not 100 percent sure if it’s not responsible for controlling the adults and making them look like mindless zombies.”
“What’s your deal!? I told you; Al is good. There are others out there.” Blair rubs her wrist as she frowns and gets upset at you.
“Wait. You didn’t say that before. What do you mean, ‘there are others out there’?”
“Al isn’t the enemy. Our parents are being controlled by others, other Aliens that are the same as Al. They don’t trust humans. And they are afraid us. They believe, well Al told me that, ancient texts of his people say that humans have the power to wipe them out with the ancient sword. He’s trying his best to prove them wrong. But he’s young and they don’t want to listen. I told him that not all humans are bad.”
You stare into Blairs eyes but there was still doubt in your mind about everything. You wanted to believe that it was the truth but once again, all you could think about was aliens from horror films you’ve seen. “Look, how about we try and find that sword on our own. How hard can it be? And once we find it, we can give it to Al and see how he reacts. If he turns all evil on us and we die, I’m blaming all of this on you.”
Blair smiles but doesn’t quite agree with your idea. “I don’t think we can do this on our own, we need Al to stay invisible from the adults.”
As soon as Blair said that you can hear someone calling from your next-door neighbors’ backyard. “Who’s there?”
“Oh my god! It’s one of the adults, WE'RE DEAD!” Blair jumps behind you in fear. That person hands grip the top of the fence then suddenly the mysterious figure jumped over it, landing in your backyard.
