"I can tell you about them.." Everyone's attention quickly changed to Shadow, who stood up to speak. "The Chaos Emeralds are extremely rare and powerful artifacts that are older than time itself. They are said to contain a nearly limitless supply of energy. If someone gets hold of all 7 of them, they will become nearly unstoppable." Luigi gasped in horror at the thought of Bowser getting his clawed hands on them..
"Which is why it's so IMPORTANT that we keep them OUT of the wrong hands.. RIGHT, Eggplant? " Said Blaze. Knuckles chuckled at the overused joke.
"HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME THA- Ugh.. I don't have time for this.. What I was trying to say is that I found a spaceship nearby." (Everyone gasped) "From what I saw, it appeared to be damaged beyond repair, but I'm suspecting that there's something else at play.. Although I have absolutely no idea what. Any ideas?"
"Well.. I have some ideas.." Everyone went silent once they heard the mysterious voice.
"Who said that?! Show yourself!" Shadow leapt to his feet, ready to protect his friends. The voice merely laughed in amusement as the hedgehog raged.
"Calm down. I'm not going to hurt you, Shadow." Shadow gasped once he heard his name.
"Who are you?! Why do you know our names?!" Fire appeared in Blaze's hands as she prepared to attack the disembodied voice.
"Stop it, all of you. I had hoped you would act more civil than this.. " (Blaze and Shadow glared) "Whatever. I am here to speak with all of you. I'm sure you have met Mario and Luigi, right?"
"Yeah, they're with us right now. You STILL haven't answered her question.. WHO are you?? Amy crossed her arms in suspicion.
"I.. Am Master Hand. I presume you've been told about me?" (They nodded) "Wonderful! I expected nothing less! Very well.. I shall show myself..
A flash of smoke filled the cave, and from it came Master Hand.
"Oh, so you're the Giant hand Mario told us about! I wasn't sure you were real!" Tails exclaimed.
"Yes.. I am very much real. I have arrived in this mortal realm to inform you all that.. another world is being invaded by my brother." Eggman stood in confusion as he never received information about any of this. Everyone else seemed to be in complete shock and terror.
"Which world is under attack??" What can we do to help? " Shadow was deeply concerned.
"It's a neighboring world.. Known as the Inkwell Isles. I have received word that there's many monsters and evil forces that reside there, so be cautious. Mario, Luigi, have you managed to convince the Mobians to assist us?
"Yes. They all agreed to assist in the best they can." Mario retorted.
"Perfect. I expected your first mission to be a success! Anyway, I finished preparing the Mansion for our new recruits, so I'll send you all over there first to gather some supplies. I'm sure you'll like what I've done with the place!~" Master Hand snapped his fingers, and a portal appeared in the center of the cave.
"Woah... What's that?!" Sonic curiously peered over the portal, which was colored a milky white.
"That, my dear hedgehog.. is a portal to our home base. Step through there, and you'll be teleported to the Mansion in no time at all! Go ahead, all of you!
