I enter the room, and he's wearing sunglasses. That especially weird because we're inside.
"I know what you're doing," he says. "Trying to blind me with your interrogation light."
"What? I don't understand," I say, tilting my head.
"You know. The thing they do in movies," he says, raising his eyebrows. Me and my colleague pause and look at each other. Then, we look back at Ben.
"You really don't know what I'm talking about?", he asks, laughing. "Well, let's get on with this stupid interrogation thing," he says, scooting his chair towards the table. "And, just to be clear, I didn't kill Victor."
"We know," I say, even though I don't quite trust him yet. "We just want to get some of the details of his life and who he disliked and who disliked him."
"Well, for starters, yes. I did dislike him. But not in a way that I would murder him," he says.
"Well, what happened between you guys?", I ask.
"Well, it all started in high school. Because we went to high school together. He asked me to lend him some money to buy a gift for his girlfriend," he says. I write. "And, I gave him one hundred dollars."
"One hundred dollars?", I ask.

"And, this gift, was for who, again?", I ask.
"His girlfriend, Tiffany Blogan," he says. I add Tiffany to the list of suspects. We need to ask her some questions. "But that's it. That's the only reason I disliked him."153Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡmiT3ahAknQ
"Alright. Thank you for helping us. If you recall anything else that we might need to know, call me," I say. I put my card on the table, and push it towards him.
