They say that the current generation is lost. As parents, we have failed to raise our children. My two children are now adults and some of their choices do worry me. My son's ambition is to be a gay porno star. My daughter seems to be addicted to drugs. She has recently told me that she was kicked out of university because she had failed her exams. This was of course because of her partying and her drugs. I suspected she got drunk a lot as well. I know that drugs and alcohol have been a problem for generations. I just hoped it would not happen to my own daughter. She was just starting her adult life and it now seems as if her future was destroyed and she was now destroying her own body. I could get my brother to have a spiritual talk with her, but my daughter is an atheist. I wanted to help her, but my husband kicked her out as soon as he heard that his daughter was a drug addict. This of course caused a fight between me and him. It's now that we as parents should be helping her. It worried me about where she would live and if she could get help.

I had a mass in the Cathedral today. I would soon be a cardinal and would have other duties. I do not think that it made a difference. The Cathedral was empty except for a few old women who were there. I doubt they were listening to me as they were mumbling their own Rosaries and novenas. It was not very encouraging for me to hold a mass. It was as if was a waste of time. I wonder did the builders realised centuries ago when they built this Cathedral that it would one day not be used or appreciated. Many medieval Churches were now being used as art galleries or offices. Religion was no longer important. When the pope spoke, no one even listened to him anymore. The Bible does say not to worry about attendance. When two or three are gathered in the name of Jesus, he is there. I am not even sure that I was praying to God. I was just reading the text of the mass that had been said for hundreds of years. This was not praying, it was me just rambling. Maybe this is because I found it hard to believe what I said.

I told my husband that I wanted a divorce. There are several reasons for this. I do not like the way he is harsh on our children. He does not accept them or help them. Kicking our daughter out of the house was the last straw. Besides this, I no longer loved him. I have been seeing several men and have had sexual relations with them. This is considered cheating and my brother would even say it's a sin. I think life is very short and we should have as much fun as possible. I am quite happy with my decision to get a divorce. Russia has cut off its gas supplies to Europe as a way to persuade Europe not to help Ukraine. This has caused insecurity and inflation. Europe has managed to find other supplies and some observers say that this is one of the few times that the EU acted in an effective way. Today, the EU has announced that they have made a trade deal with Israel that will secure the gas needs in the EU. This is possible because Israel has discovered one of the largest gas reserves in the world. While Russia has made no comment on this deal, some political commentators have said it will cause more instability in the Middle East. This is because some countries that get money from gas and oil now have to share the profits with Israel. Israel's neighbours do not want to see them succeed.

Life changes so fast and it can be so confusing. A few weeks ago, my son came out of the closet and told everyone that he was gay. He was even doing gay films. This was not a decision that I liked. However, he had my support and I will always love him. When he visited me today, he told me that he gave up being a gay model and had given all the money he had earned to the poor. He considers the money sin-money and does not feel good it is in his bank account. My son has found God, and that is the reason for his big change. He was at a photo shoot and stayed at a hotel when he started reading the Bible. Now he feels as if he is born again. I told him that he could stay at the new apartment I got after the divorce. He told me that he wanted to go and live in the slum area. This was where God was calling him. He wanted to remind them that Jesus is with them and there is always hope.

My nephew is living in the slums and it was his choice! Who decides that they want to live like animals in a dirty place like that? I went to visit him and get him to reconsider. He always was a smart boy and even when he was a gay porn star, at least he was getting a lot of money and sex. When I told him to get back to his studies and do something with his life, he smiled and said he felt as if he was given the best calling in life. He will be the instrument of Jesus in a place where people need him. This is a ridiculous ideal. If Jesus wanted to help these people, he would. If these people took responsibility and took control of their own lives and did not expect God to provide for them, they would never be poor. We do not need God! We need to be our own Gods. The UN has announced that climate change is faster and more severe than predicted. The human race has failed to reduce the global emissions of CO2 that they promised years ago. Global climate change has increased world temperatures and there are more natural disasters. This is only will get worse experts say. The American president has called this announcement from the United Nations just a way to make people afraid and to vote for the liberal hippie parties. You will notice that my title is now a cardinal. Today was the that there was a short ceremony where I gave the oath to the Church. My family were there except my brother. He explained that he had better things to do. My parents were very proud of me. To be honest, I was proud of myself. I also think it showed how flawed the Church is. What I mean by this is that a cardinal is a very high position and usually a man who is very devoted and has a special and strong faith. I had neither of those. I would be moving to the Vatican and doing some administration work there. Maybe faith was not needed to do this job. If there was a God, what did he want of me? Why would he want me to be a cardinal when there are so many others who are better qualified?

Statistics came out today that the crime rate is skyrocketing. It's not a small bit either. It has become a major problem. Crime has gone up. Rape has gone up. People are being attacked and even murdered. The list goes on and on. The amount of papers and cases on my desk is in huge piles. The amount I used to get in a decade is now what I get in a week. There was no way that I could investigate everything. I sorted the cases every day according to what I thought was important. When I saw a case that was because someone was naive or stupid or did not bother defending themselves, I ignored it. People have to learn how to stand up for themselves and not trust anyone. The victims are usually weak people and one of nature's golden rules is that weak people do not survive. People have to realize that Batman does not exist, they have to take control of their own lives and not let others hurt them.

I am happy that my friend is now a cardinal. His ambition has worked and he is now there where he planned. I will also admit that I am confused and jealous. I know that this is bad, but I am only human. The Pope himself had appointed Cardinal O’Keeffe and there must be a reason for this. Still, I know that he does not have faith and he does not have compassion. I have every quality needed to be a cardinal, but will never be more than a parish priest. Maybe there is a reason for this. Pride is one of the seven deadly sins, and I am guilty of this. I will accept God's will and be happy for Cardinal O’Keeffe. Besides this, I think I am more needed by my parishioners than in some Vatican offices.

I am now in the hospital after I have been attacked by a group of young teenagers. I was walking home from a shopping trip and 4 teenagers attacked me. One of them looked as if he was not even a teenager yet. They knocked me to the ground and started hitting and kicking me. They took my wallet and my purchases. The worst thing was not so much that I was mugged, it was that people walked by me as I was on the ground in agony and pain. They did not care about me. I suppose this was now a common scene for many people. My brother visited me. He wanted a description of the teenagers. I could not give one. I disappointed him when I told him the teenagers were not foreigners. I think he was hoping they would be a Muslim group or children of refugees. My brother did not even ask how I was.

In other news, Israel has started bombing the Palestinians. This is in response to terror attacks against Israel. The bombing is the worst in Palestinian history and the death casualties are very high. This includes children and old people. This bombing is expected to last for a long time, despite that many countries are calling for a ceasefire. On top of the bombing, Israel has denied any humanitarian help to enter Palestine.
