When Jane awoke the first thing she noticed was a strange rocking sensation, Not unlike swinging from a peice of rope tied to a tree. Only She was definitely lying on something cold and hard. Jane opened her eyes. As her eyes grew accustomed to the eery darkness Jane quickly realised she was in a majestic cabin of a great ship. Adorning the walls of fine, dark oak were skillfully carved scenes bearing legends of sea monsters and pirates. A lavish door opposite Jane had a golden door knob that Was so polished It was more reflective then even the nobilitys mirrors. Contrasting the luxurious architecture. The cabin was completely bare except for a pile of damp hay in the middle of the room. Suddenly panic struck Jane. The realisation that she had just been kidnapped and She was on a ship goddness knows where set in. Jane ran to the door willing it to open, but alas it was locked. Tears streamed down her cheeks. Jane's head was bursting with terrifying possibilitys. She could feel her breathing get faster and faster, The world was spinning, she crashed to the floor. Her racing breath suddenly stopped. She couldn't breath. Jane wondered "is this the end?"Then she remembered a trick her mother had taught her. Looking at her hand Jane traced around her fingers. Up a finger would mean a feeble attempt to breath in and down a finger to breath out. She continued this laboured exercise while slowly regaining her ability to breath. When She finished and her mind was clear, Jane knew exactly exactly what to do. From a tear in her blouse she pulled a pin and with great skill and determination Jane forced it into the lock of the door. After what could of been seconds, but just as easily could of been hours. Jane heard a subtle click, hope rising through her like a balloon through the sky she turned the door knob.
