Being divorced is so fun. My children have left the nest and that means I can concentrate on myself. Since I got divorced, I have been meeting a lot of men. I am old enough so I do not have to worry about getting pregnant. I do not have to worry about falling in love. For a woman, it is easy to find lonely men who want a bit of fun. Most of the men that I met are married. I suspect that their wives were making other men happy. I never tell my parents what my life is like now. They are already disappointed that I am divorced. They consider it a sin that I did not even try to save the marriage. They would consider me a slut if they knew how many men I have been with. I am a grown woman. I am old enough to decide. The fact is that I never felt so young!

I have been praying for Cardinal O’Keeffe. He is now helping the Pope administrate the Church. This will be a hard job. There are many problems in the Church. We have priests who have lost their faith. We have priests who commit crimes and are protected by the Church. The Church has become like a multinational company that is concerned about money rather than souls. The Church is being seen as irrelevant and something that belongs in history. People believe that its stance on everything from sexuality to abortion is out of date. Can Cardinal O’Keeffe help change this or will he just follow with the flow and at worst be corrupted? He needs my prayers.

The latest poll shows that the people of the United States have never been so unhappy and a majority of them think that a civil war is inevitable. Political commentators point at the divided country being the fault of the politicians. The Democrats and the Republicans are more interested in power than the people. Many politicians are now ultra-left or ultra-right and have lost the ability to compromise. This division has infected the whole country, and even families are split over who supports whom. Historians would remind us of former empires that have fallen because of division and corruption. Many would think that this is impossible for the USA. But I am sure long ago that the Greeks and the Romans thought the same about their empires.

Power is a lovely thing and that's why I love my job in the police. In a time when crime is so high and people no longer know what is right and wrong and most are afraid, then my power increases. Today I have arrested a muslim man for some robberies. I am pretty sure that he did not do it. Yet the end justifies the means. This means that one less Muslim is on the street. It is not as if I am ruining his life. He was living off of social benefits. He was a lazy unemployed foreigner who was using the generosity of my country. He would be found guilty. I will make sure there is enough evidence. When he is found guilty, he will be deported back to the country he came from. This should send a message to all the refugees living here that we are tired of paying for them.

I was told today that my nephew wanted to be a priest. I know that he had found God and since then has been studying the Bible in-depth and praying. I also know his past, that of being a gay porn star. I was asked by someone here at the Vatican what I thought of it. I was honest when I said I was unsure if this was a good idea. My nephew was a porn star and this will follow him all his life. While my gay relationships and actions have been in private, his actions were on film. I wrote a letter to my sister asking her if she could not speak with her son and persuade him being a priest would not be good for him or the Church. I know this was hypocritical, but it was my duty as a cardinal to protect the Church. My nephew could still be religious without being ordained a priest.

The situation in Palestine has been becoming worse. The bombings have continued as thousands have been killed. No humanitarian aid has been allowed in. This means that people are starving as there is no food and water. The hospitals have no medicine for the injured in the hospital. On top of this, the energy has been cut off. This has pushed Palestine back into the dark ages. Israel claims that the military action is defending themselves from future terrorism. Israel's neighbours have put their military on alert and warned Israel to stop its aggression. These threats have forced the USA to move its navy to the area. It is expected that other superpowers will increase their military presence. The UN itself has given a statement hoping for a ceasefire, “It is the innocent civilians that are suffering”

The Pope wanted to speak with me today. He heard about the letter I sent to my sister about my nephew. He told me that I should support my nephew's vocation. When he was going to appoint a cardinal, he did not think about me. I have done nothing special and have had very little impact during my life. Then the Pope had a vision that I should be appointed as a cardinal because God had big plans for me. The Pope's advisors told the Pope that I was the least qualified person and they heard rumours that I lost my faith. The Pope agreed. He read some passages in the Bible. One was about Mathew the Tax collector and one was about Saint Paul. Both of these were sinners and God still called them. The Pope smiled at me and told me that I would soon be needed by God, and this allowed me to welcome him back into my life. He also told me to trust God if he is calling my nephew to life as a priest. This talk depressed me. I was a cardinal because of a dream or a Pope's imagination that God was telling him something.

Israel has provided humanitarian aid in the war-torn Palestine. The aid is limited and Israel's neighbours are saying it's too little too late. Hamas is also fighting back as Israel towns are now being bombed. The situation is not getting any better. The war is having an impact on the world economy as the instability in the region has caused oil prices to increase. In other news, a US spokesperson has said that they have intelligence that China is planning to invade Taiwan. The US have increased their military presence in this area. China has denied that it has any short-term plans to invade Taiwan, but some political analysts think that we should remember that the US warned us when Russia was planning to invade Ukraine, and even though Russia denied it at the time, the intelligence was true.

I have spoken with my son about joining the priesthood. I know that my two brothers do not support the idea and my parents love the idea. I just wanted to hear from my son why he feels that he is called. Would it not be a waste of time telling people about a God that most likely is not there? If there was a God, where was he? Every day, the world was becoming a darker and darker place. My son smiled and said it is now that the world needs God. We needed to invite him back into our lives. We needed to bring love into the world and to turn away from sin. My son explained that sin is when we hurt God, others or ourselves. Then he asked me if we wanted to pray to God to bring me on the right path again. I declined this offer but said that he had my total support in this new plan he had to be a priest. I love my son and am so proud of him!

Shocking news from Europe has over 800 people died when a refugee boat sunk in the Mediterranean. Only 21 people have survived. Thousands of people have taken their luck to have a better life in Europe by sailing over the Mediterranean. The vessels that they travel on are crowded and often unsafe. It is estimated that over 200,000 try to take this journey a year. This has caused huge problems for Italy, Greece and Spain saying they cannot deal with so many. The EU has offered very little support to these three countries and is very slow to accept the refugees. It is expected that the number of refugees trying to get into Europe will increase.

Today, I had a priest in my confession box who admitted that he had been having homosexual sex with Cardinal O’Keeffe. I of course suspected that the cardinal was gay and even heard rumours about it. Now I know that the Cardinal has broken several vows. He is one of the major figures in our Church. The problem is I cannot reveal anything that was said in a confessional box. This is between the penitent and God. In a way, I should forget what was said to me, but I cannot do this. I have lost all respect I had for the Cardinal.

I was born in the wrong family. My parents are religious fanatics. My brother is a cardinal and my sister is just a party girl. Now my nephew has decided he wants to be a priest. If no one else will take responsibility for helping him not waste his life, then I would. I arrested my nephew today and put him in a cell. I will release him when he gets wise and stops his plans of becoming a priest. If not, I will think of some charges that will keep him out of God's clutch for a long time.

I hate old age. My body parts are sagging much more and my face looks like it has craters. Nature, God or whoever may think they are playing a joke on humans for getting old, but the human race can solve anything. All I had to do was get plastic surgery and look 20 years younger. I know some people think that I should age gracefully. I am just not ready to look old yet.

There have been reports of people disappearing all over the world. The reports are that people were there one minute and gone the next minute. There are no numbers on how many people have disappeared, but it is estimated in the tens and millions. The eyewitness stories that have come in have been both strange and disturbing.
