I had brought them here, to Earth, because of a promise of safety, but mostly the promises of sex and drugs. They weren't sure what rock and roll was so I took it off the negotiation table because their idea of music involved using the vocal chords of their enemies as instruments, and I wouldn't really like to play with vocal chords and be noted as an intergalactic rock star in that way. So I settled for the Sex and Drugs part of the equation, nothing less.

"Well then, I'll be on my way then," I said, satisfied with the amount of purple dust and women. I stepped into the pod and it took me off world and into space above the shining blue marble known as Earth, and I watched it implode as the alien overmind sucked the core dry and the inhabitants died from having their skin flayed off and their potential energy turned to heat and blood and viscera.
"Now that that's out of the way," I turned to the pile of purple dust and put my finger in it and smeared it on my upper gum, the human women were crying, while the aliens looked bored. The alien drug tasted like pixie stick dust but gave me a buzz like no other. But then I fell back, paralyzed as my mouth foamed.
