Anchor/Tristen's POV
----at the Training Room-------
"C'mon Perce. You could do much better than this!" I parry Percy/Winter's attack easily then I kick him in the stomach causing him to kneel on the floor.
"Yield!" I place my sword at Winter's throat.
"I yield." His face has a look of defeat and I haul him up.
"Come on Anchor. Can't I get some rest?" Winter looks at me frowning but I shake my head.
"Perce, you need to have the basic speed of sword fighting and you need to learn to use other weapons too not just sword; and, you need to be more observant to your surroundings because the enemy is not going to go down so easily." I frown at him and he gives his cute baby seal look and I know I couldn't resist it so I sigh, giving up.
"Fine. Take five and come back here to continue your training." He grumbles but he takes his break anyway and I look over at him.
As I look at him taking off his shirt, I haven't realised all the scars that he has on his back.
"Hey Perce, I saw some of your memories but you managed to block the most important ones." He suddenly freezes in shock and look over to me, trying to block out tears.
"H-How did you know?" He stutters and I trace some of the scars on his back.
"Please Perce, I want to help you. Could you tell me how you get those scars?" He looks at me and I could see his face. His sea-green eyes look lifeless and dull and I could see that he is trying to hold back tears. It breaks my heart to see him in this state but I still need to know who did this to him.
"Perce, come on please." I say it softly like how parents say to their kid who had been bullied and Winter starts sobbing, putting his head on my shoulders. I could feel tears on my hoodie but I don't mind (literally Anchor could change his coat into a hoodie) and I try to comfort him. After a while he push himself away from my shoulder, wipe of the tears on his face and he tells me his story.
"It started a few days after we came back to Camp Half Blood after winning the war against Gaea. Annabeth, she wanted fame and glory so she kept on blaming me as a coward and she said that she was the one who killed the hellhound who came into camp but it was I who killed it. Everyone believed her because there was solid proof that she killed the hellhound and not me. Then everyone started to turn on me and called me a coward after Malcom, Annabeth's brother was killed by a sword except for my friends who still stay at my side. The next day I went to find Annabeth to tell her that I love her and when I went to her cabin, I saw her giggling and telling her siblings that she never loved me from the start so I ran from camp......" Winter's voice trails off and I put my hand in his telling him that I understand; and, I start thinking. I know from what Chaos told me before Winter's training that Winter is being tortured for centuries before climbing up Tartarus with his alter ego helping him to reach the surface and that Winter hadn't eaten anything since the last time he ate. Suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder and jump back, surprised. I look back and see Percy looking at me with a why do you feel surprised when I touch you look.
"Anchor......" He begins saying and I look at him confused.
"Yes?"
"You haven't really introduced yourself yet right? So, who exactly are you?" I look at him in the eye and he back away from me a little.
I sigh and stand up.
"Please do not tell anyone, not even the other seasons. Only you and Chaos know my identity." I take off my hood and concentrate. Suddenly, my appearance changes.
My short black hair is replaced by my long silver hair. Silver eyes replace my dark brown ones, my ears start to have a slight change with the tip of my ears sharpens a little; and, my stopwatch on a necklace glow softly with a bronze light. I show it to Winter and smile as he stares at it in awe.
"My true identity is Tristen de Ray, or Tristen of the Light. I am the king of the elves and the King of the Light Realm."
Winter looks at me with surprise.
"So, Chaos wasn't kidding just now. You are an actual king." I nod and smile.
"Yes."
"I thought that elves are real only in fables." I stare at the ground with disgust.
"Well, in my world, everything you read in fairy tales are real. We all come from the same place which is the Light Realm. In my world, magic determines everything." I explain and Winter looks at me, confused.
"What is the meaning of you wearing your stopwatch on your neck?" Winter ask and I sigh.
"Let me explain. In my world, there are seven kings who rule the Light Realm. They are 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th, and the 7th king. Each king has different domains for example first king is fire, second king is wind, third is water, fourth is earth, fifth is dark, sixth is light, and the seventh, the mysterious king of all, is time." I point at my stopwatch, which is glowing dimly.
"Wait, wait, wait, why did you say the seventh king is the most mysterious?" Winter ask and I frown.
"Well, first off, the seventh king is the ruler of all because of the difference in power between him and the rest of the other kings. The seventh king even though has time domain but he could use other power as well as unique abilities the gods and goddesses in different kingdoms have. For example, in the elf kingdom the talented ones could use The Call of Nature, which is connected very well with the Earth power. It heals someone or even the caster himself and summon a wall of earth to protect the caster and his allies."
"Wait, you say it like you knew the powers and stuff like that." I look at Winter and grimace.
"It's because I'm the seventh king, taking over my father's place." Winter gasps and I look sadly to the ground.
"I doubt that I have experienced this before but my father knows about this." I look at Winter who is still gasping with shock. "Let's go and visit my father." I conjure a portal and Winter step into it first before I do and close the portal.
------in the Light Realm-------
Winter look around in wonder. There are many shops and houses in rows with adults with long golden hair and pointy elf ears waiving at him in front of the house and little children with long brown hair and pointy elf ears run around him greeting him with a smile. He looks to his left and sees me smiling at him and at the sight of me, the children stop running and both children and adults alike bow at me. I wave my hand and smile and they stand up and grin at me. I conjure some replicas of statues and give it to all the kids surrounding me and all of them say thank you. The adults smile and chat with me about things going on in here for a while. After that, I lead Winter away from the crowd to the castle.
Winter stare in awe at the sight before him. There in the centre of the path stands a castle made of gold with windows made of glass. To top it off majestically, the top of the castle has small crystals of different colours which (in Winter's view) shows the powers the kings of the realms have. I smile and lead him to the set of golden doors which swing open to reveal the second set of doors, the ones that leads to the castle. I announce my presence and the doors swing open, letting me and Winter in. We walk into the royal garden and as the gates swing closed, I turn to Winter.
"The first gate allows anyone in but to enter the second set, you must pass a test to show that you are clear enough to enter." Winter looks at me questioningly.
"What sort of test?"
"The test is the test of purity of heart and the test of bravery or as a shortcut, you will need anyone in the royal family to announce his/her presence, only then you are able to enter." Winter nod and we both start walking into the throne room.
-----in the throne room-----
I bowed at the man who is sitting on the throne and the man smile. Seeing me bowing, Winter do the same.
"Rise my son and Percy Jackson." Winter flinch at the mentioning of his name and we both rise.
"Father, Percy is our guest and we need your consultation about the power of the seventh king." I explain the reason why we came and my dad look at me and Winter gravely.
"Aye, I could see that Winter is Percy and that-that topic is not what I want to talk about but okay, I'll tell you." The man takes a deep breath and continue.
"I know your name Percy and I bet you don't know mine. Mine is Ryoya de Ray, The previous seventh king of the Light Realm." Winter stare at Ryoya stunned as Ryoya say it. Ryoya look down at his hands which are shaking.
"Years ago, when I was the seventh king, things were ugly. People hated the seventh king because of a small mistake by the seventh king that threated the whole kingdom's safety." Ryoya starts talking and Winter could see how sad the previous seventh king was.
"I was very young when I was bought in by a royal family of the elves because my parents died because my dad at that time was the seventh king. I was three at that time and my foster family hated me because I was fated to be the next seventh king. I went to magic school when I was four and met a few friends and we were so happy together until that time when I was 10." Ryoya pause for a while before continuing.
"It was that time when my happy school life turned south. One of my friends, Venren, was told by his parents to never see me again as I bring ill fate to his family and at that time, I never see him again in class. Then when I was 12, the dog which Venren, Ren, who was my second-best friend, and I reared died. I ran into the woods after class when I was bullied by my classmate when I saw a dog's body on the ground. It was Darkness. After that time, I became distant from everyone else."
"Afterwards, well, you know the story, Tristen." Ryoya excuses himself and with the help of my mum, Anna, he walks back quietly to his room. After that, I pull Winter to my room and gently close the door behind me.
"Well, dad had trouble believing anyone until that one person changed his heart and that person was my aunt, Elsa, the queen of Arendele. My dad, after hearing the enemy talking about his past, turned dark and almost killed his friends but my aunt managed to stop my dad going on a rampage. He turned dark the second time because, well, my aunt died while he was being too loyal to her and his friends and that time, he was hard to turn back to the good side. So yeah, that's why he never wants to use his seventh king power and to use it only for good. Now, he passed on this responsibility to me. Wait, he had passed on this responsibility to be since I was 10 on the day he died and thank god he managed to be revived again." I continue the story softly to Winter and sees Winter's horrified expression I laugh.
"It's not that bad. Anyways, I only can trust a certain group of people this information because," Tristen whispers in Winter's ear, "Because there are people who want to hunt me down as I am the current seventh king." Winter gulp and I laugh louder.
"Dude, it's not that scary. I just always on the run but meh, I'm not going to run this time since we are best friends and brothers. Ah, I want you to meet someone."
I pull Winter until the edge of the golden doors (the second pair ones) and call out Selene out. Selene walks out of her hiding place and gasp.
"Oh Tristen, I'm so glad you're safe. And who is that on your left?"
"Oh, Winter, meet Selene, the Elf goddess of the Moon. Selene, this is Winter, my friend and brother." I introduce Selene to Winter and Selina smile but that smile turns into a frown.
"Dear, oh dear. Percy, you will meet a fate that is more tragic than it seems and not everything is as what you think it is." Winter frown at Selene's prediction but keep quiet.
"Anyway, Selene, we got to go now. It's nice meeting you." Selene nod and bless both of us a good trip and we both step into the portal back to Chaos planet.
------back at Training room------
"Perce, you okay?" I ask Percy but he shrug.
"Perce, look at me." Percy turns and look at me. I smile a gentle smile and put my hand on his shoulder.
"Selene's prediction may be wrong but she predicted my fate like yours." We both become quiet.
"Hey Perce, why don't you check the others out anyway?" Winter nods and run out into the open, spread his wings and fly out into the sky.
