"Where are we going exactly?" Ruby asked as Opal dragged her up a steep hill. Opal paused and turned to look at the other gem.
"A Hot Spring." She replied, turning back around and continuing to walk.
"A Hot Spring?" Ruby echoed, confused. Opal rolled her pink eyes.
"Didn't you learn anything from Talc?" She asked, reaching the top of the hill. Ruby gasped at what she saw.
"Whoa..." There was a large pool, and there were many, many gems, chatting, playing in the water, or just soaking up the sun. Ruby turned to face Opal, who had grabbed one of the simple bathing suits and was currently undressing. 201Please respect copyright.PENANAYIEpaXLWvj
"Here." She tossed one to Ruby, who caught it. She examined the bathing suit. It was simple, and uniform. Ruby changed into it quickly.
"So, what's with the pool anyway?" Opal rolled her eyes at the question.
"As you know, we Gems feed off of the sun. We do eat food, but mainly we get our nutrients from the sunlight. Hence, the hot spring. Here, many different Gems gather and enjoy the sun together." Opal grinned and ran towards the hot spring, leaping into it. Ruby stood at the edge of the hot spring, watching the other Gems play.
"It's more fun in the thick of it." Ruby leaped back in surprise at the face that appeared in front of her. The gem grinned, extending a wet hand.
"I'm Creedite." He grinned, water dripping off of his spiky orange hair. Ruby shook his hand and smiled.
"I'm Ruby." She replied, entering the water. Creedite's grin widened, and Ruby watched as he swam back to the other Gems.

Opal watched as White Diamond entered the hot spring, long white hair flowing behind him. She froze as he made eye contact with her.201Please respect copyright.PENANA9Ea5nxnDe0
"You're Opal, right?" She nodded, silent as he watched her, crossing one slender leg over the other. "I'm White Diamond." She nodded again.
"I know. I've seen you around the castle." She replied quietly, her gaze traveling up White's lithe body. She willed herself to look at anything, anything other than White's body.
"Why're you staring at me like that?" She looked back up at his face. White's red eyes were narrowed. Opal blinked, feeling her face heat up. White must've noticed, his face softened, and he swam towards her. Opal looked up at him, tensing up as the taller gem leaned down close to her ear.
"If you want to see me," He whispered. "I'll be at the library." Opal started to reply, but White swam away. Opal sat there, conflicted.201Please respect copyright.PENANAC1TPIBvDYs
