As I walked closer I could distinguish the shape more, it was definitely human. From the flatness in shape, I could assume it was lying down. I wasn’t sure if I actually wanted to take off the cover. What type of gruesome sight would I see? Would I be scarred for life? What if it came after me? But then I thought of another question. What if it got us out of here? So. I reached for the white duvet and yanked it off. The cover flew in my face for a second and the smell of blood filled my nostrils. Blood, blood, blood that's all I could smell it was like it was never-ending. Now that a sheet was the only thing covering the man I saw the outline. He had a wide chest and a stomach that stuck out. His legs were long and thick. I could make out some other features that showed he was also naked. I wanted to know where it was coming from so I tore the sheet away from my face and saw something disgusting.

There on the bed lay a man who was covered in blood. His eyes were wide open and his body was still warm. The source of all the blood was coming from his chest. It was wide open exposing a sea of red within him. Some things poked out I assumed those were his organs or bones. I didn’t want to know. I felt like vomiting it was disgusting to look at. I was busy staring at the blood and the man to fully realise notice the white pills and bloody lampshade beside his body. I saw them but nothing seemed to click in my head with them.
