Love has always been selective,

It's always been part of the collective.

He said we'd always have each other,

He said that, while continuing a smother.

Is he really all I have and need?

My doubts and anxiety always feed.

He looks me in the eyes and says he loves me,

But honestly, is this really meant to be..?

I indebted myself to him, all the way.

I promised it until my heart may decay.

I gave my life, my heart, my soul..

But why is this all becoming so dull?

Is it my fear that drives my dejection?

That one day I'll be faced with a rejection?

"Does he even need me.. Does he even WANT?"

The voices in my head happily taunt.

He said I could never leave him, never.

Yet he's always been so very clever.

I can't leave him, but he could always leave...

A liar is always a pet peeve...

But he is no liar... He is no cruel man..

No, we always said to have a plan..

When my tears begin to pour out,

That's when I'm faced with doubt.

I lay awake at night, fearing a betrayal.

But why is a foul man his portrayal..?

Maybe this is why he said I should never think.

I can't even sleep a wink...

There's a reason he said he'll think on my end.

Because that's when reality begins to bend.

The reasons the lies are what I bought..?

It's because I thought.
