Kierra's POV
We all got out and walked to where the other uni kids were hanging out, and where the bonfire was. Even though it was only around 6 on a Friday, it was a full raging party. There was music playing loudly from the speakers, and there were deckchairs everywhere. There were also a bunch of cooler boxes set in the sand filled with drinks, so we all grabbed some sodas while the boys got beers.
People were everywhere, on the chairs, near the bonfire, in the water, and there were a few kids who were sitting aside on the sand playing spin the bottle. Once Hayley saw it, she thought it would be fun to play, so she dragged us all there, and we set ourselves in the sand. Oh great, Maya was here too. I was so happy! Note the sarcasm. Once she saw me, there was a look of disgust on her face, but when she saw Leo beside me, her face turned into a huge smile. I scoffed. Typical bimbos.
After a few rounds of the others playing, it was Lexi's turn. She spun the bottle and it landed on Antonio. My face broke out into a smile because I knew she liked him. I looked over at her, and her cheeks were coated in a layer of pink, aw. Then I looked at Antonio, and he was smirking like he was going to enjoy it. I thought to myself, I really should play matchmaker for the two of them, shouldn't I? Cue the internal smirk. Anyways, Lexi got up and walked over to where Antonio has stood up. He took a hold of her face, and brought his lips to hers in a swift motion, while her hands layed on his shoulders. When they broke apart, they both had big smiles on their faces, and I was happy for them, and I heard the others wolf-whistling and shouting happily. They both sat down again, this time next to each other.
A couple of rounds later, a quarter of the kids left the game, and when I took a look at the water, there were many kids just having fun in the water. It didn't look too cold, so the others and I walked to the waters, and we were having tons of fun, smiles evident on everyone's faces. I could see Lexi giggling and swimming away from a laughing Antonio, while Hayley and Enzo were just talking to each other.
I swam up to Leo, and when he heard me coming, he turned around and smiled at me, and I smiled back at him. We all stayed in the water for nearly an hour and a half, and then Lexi and Antonio went to get some towels from the car, while Hayley and Lorenzo went to get some more drinks.
I wanted to walk around, so I walked out of the water, and Leo followed me after asking where I was going. We walked near the edge of the water, and both stood side by side in a comfortable silence watching the orange sunset against the beautiful sky, listening to the frequent sound of the waves crashing near our bare feet.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" I asked him, turning my head in his direction, to find him already looking at me when he replied, "It definitely is." I could feel my cheeks heating up and turning pink, so I looked away at the setting sun again, hearing him chuckle. He then pulled my arm towards him, and hugged me, from behind, his arms wrapped around my torso. I placed my hands on top of his, and we both stood silently, looking at the sun. A little while later, we walked back to the group, seeing they were all in front of the bonfire. We all toasted some marshmallows and were just having fun together, and I forgot all about the stresses of the university and the mafia.
Around two hours later, the party was wrapping up, but the night was still young, so we decided to stroll around the boardwalk for a while. Tony and Lexi walked ahead of us, while Hayley and Enzo were laughing around. Leo and I were walking behind, and I was shivering, as the air was freezing. He laughed, and said, "You cold?" I nodded, and he gave me his hoodie. I put it on and was immediately caught by Leo's scent. Oh, how good it smelled. I inhaled the smell, and he must have seen because he chuckled under his breath. I blushed but thought nothing of it.
We walked for a bit longer, and we decided we'd head over to Leo's house to watch a movie and have some fun. We separated at the car park and drove over to his apartment. We parked both of the cars, went upstairs, and walked inside his living room.
The guys went and changed their beach shorts into something more comfortable, while Lexi and Hayley went to the bathroom to change into something the three of us brought as extra clothes. I was in Leo's kitchen, looking for some popcorn bags, and some candy. After searching his pantry cupboards, I found them, so I tossed a bag of popcorn in the microwave, and set it to a minute, and waited. Once it was done, I placed the other bags inside and put them all in a bunch of bowls. I then quickly went to the bathroom, took off my bathing suit, and put on a pair of leggings, and put Leo's hoodie back on.
Once I had gotten all the snacks, I went to the living room and found Lexi and Tony together on the couch laughing together and scrolling through their phones, and Hayley and Enzo were talking about some class they both had today. Leo was on the other end of the couch, looking through for a movie on Netflix. Once we all found a movie we wanted, we got comfortable on the couch and started watching the movie, just laughing together.
Around 2 hours later, the movie had ended, and the credits were showing up. While I was talking to Hayley, my phone started ringing. I looked at the caller ID and saw that it was my brother Elijah calling. I quickly excused myself and went to the hall away from the others to talk to him.
"Hey baby sis, how are ya?" He asked cheerily, and I felt a smile make its way up to my face after hearing my brother. "Hey Eli, I'm doing good. How about you and Joshua?" I replied, and we then talked about school. "So, how's work going there?" I asked him curiously, knowing he didn't like that he was one of the main bosses of the mafia. He didn't like the fact that he had to kill millions of people for all reasons, but it just couldn't be helped. After all, Eli, Joshua, and I were the underbosses of the mafia, and it's not like we had an option. We were the leaders' children, so automatically, it would come to us. "Oh, it's going well. We created an alliance with the Italian Mafia, and also scored a major deal with the Mexicans on some drugs," he replied, and we talked for a bit more. I ended our phone call after promising to see him and Joshua soon.
Once I hung up, I turned around and saw Leo walking up to me. "You ok?" he asked me. "Yea, I'm okay, thanks." I smiled at him. We talked for a while, and he said he needed to get something from his room and told me I could come along, and I agreed as I needed to ask him for some notes from class today.
Once we got to his room, I took a look around. The walls were white with a gray accent wall, and a bed against it, along with a bedside table. He had a desk next to the bed, and a bookshelf on the opposite wall. There was a door that led to a closet, and another one that led to a bathroom.
There was one other door, though, that was open just a sliver. I wondered what was in there. While Leo was looking for whatever he needed, I walked around his room, my mind still lingering on that door. When Leo stepped out for a minute, I walked towards the door and opened it a bit, and I was astounded at what I saw.
The room was filled with all sorts of guns and knives. I saw rifles, shotguns, machine guns, daggers, and throwing knives, just to name a few.
What the hell?
