Leonardo's POV
I immediately hung up on Kierra and told the guys what was going on, while I ran to my room and got a gun. Once we all got some sort of weapon, we ran to my car and drove as fast as we could to the mall the girls were at.
On the way there, my thoughts were consumed from earlier at my apartment. Following my texts with Maya, I realized Kierra looked annoyed in a way for some reason. I wondered why, though.
What if she was jealous? Why would she be jealous though? It wasn't like I liked Maya. We were just friends, and that was all there was to it. So there was no reason for Ki to be jealous.
After driving to the mall, we found Kierra and that creepy dude in the middle of the parking lot, and I quickly glanced around and found Lexi and Hayley in the corner, watching Kierra with worry, and I let out a small breath of relief that they hadn't gotten kidnapped or something. That relief didn't last long, though. After one more glance, I saw a bunch of men lurking in the corners of the building, probably waiting for the right time to jump out.
I discreetly parked the car in a place they couldn't see, and I turned to the guys. "Okay listen up, Kierra and that dude are in the middle of the parking lot, and I don't know what he's going to do to her, but he's going to try and kidnap her, cuz there are a lot of other guys surrounding them from a distance. Lexi and Hayey are on the left side of the building, so I need one of you to get them here safely, while the other one comes with me to save Kierra. Whatever you do, be careful and make sure the girls are safe." They nodded, and Tony went to get Hayley and Lexi, while Enzo and I sneakily went near Kierra and the creep, and hid behind a car, observing what was about to happen.

Kierra's POV
After I had hung up with Leo, I told the girls what was happening, and they already knew about me being in the mafia, so they weren't extremely surprised about someone following me, but they were worried for my safety. We all walked out of the mall, and I told them to go to the corner of the building and hide, as the creep wasn't after them. They reluctantly agreed and left, while I led the creep to the parking lot, seeing that barely anyone was there, so I was free to fight him. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Leo and Enzo hiding behind a car, looking at us.
"What do you want from me?" I asked him, turning around. "Well, there's a lot of things I want from you, but right now, I'm taking you with me. he replied with a smile on his face. "Well too bad, cuz I'm not coming," I shot back with a fake smile. "Oh, yes you will, don't worry," he said back, taking a few steps toward me, but before he could get too close, I punched him straight in his nose, and I heard a satisfying crack, which told me that I broke his nose. The guy's head went back, and he covered his nose with his hand, and blood started dripping out. He took his hand out and glared at me. "YOU BITCH!" he came at me and attempted to attack me. He tried to punch me, but I blocked it and kicked him in his stomach. He managed to slap me, and I kneed him in his nuts, momentarily distracting him as he crouched in pain, and once he got back up, he tried to stab me with a knife, but at that moment, Leo came out and shot him in his thigh, surprising the guy, and he fell to the ground, and I gave out a huge exhale. I thought it was all over, but as I looked over my shoulder, I saw a guy creeping up at us, so I quickly brought out my gun, clicked off the safety, and shot him, instantly bringing him down, but not killing him. I looked around and saw that all the men that were lurking back were dead.
Lexi and Hayley ran over to me and hugged me hard. "Oh, thank god you're okay," they said in relief, and we all turned to see Enzo, Toni, and Leo staring at us. Tony looked shocked for some reason. "Damn girl, that was so badass!" I laughed at that, and after they made sure we were all okay, Toni and Enzo led the girls to the car, while Leo stayed with me while I got my bag again. I was still annoyed at him, but just a little less.
"So, how many times am I going to have to save you, amore?" he asked smugly, with a huge smirk on his face.
Oh great, first he was annoying, and now he's cocky.
"For my sake, I hope it never happens again," I muttered under my breath.
"What was that, amore?" he said and chuckled.
"Nothing, nothing," I replied, imagining how much I would like to wipe that stupid smirk off his stupid face.
"Yea, sure. Whatever you say, Ki," he said back, and I sighed.
"Hold up, I have to call someone," he said and pulled out his phone. "Hey James, I need you to come to the mall, there are a bunch of dead guys here in the parking lot, you know what to do with the bodies. Additionally, I need someone here now, there are two guys shot but still alive. Take them, and put them in the basement, and I'll question them later. Got it?" he asked.
I heard the guy's faint voice saying "Got it, boss. We'll be there." with that, Leo put his phone back and we walked back to my car, as the others took his car. He drove us back to my apartment, and I dropped off the shopping bags.
"Ki, you're bleeding. Come here." Leo said, and only then did I realize that I had a few scratches and cuts on my arms from the fight. I walked into the bathroom where Leo was, and he took out the bandages from the first aid kit and stuck them on the places that were bleeding. I thanked him, and he washed his hands, and we both walked to the kitchen to find something to eat quickly. I found some granola bars and some Gatorade in the fridge and handed some to Leo.
We ate together, and once I finished the bar, I asked him something. "Leo, can I please come with you to interrogate the two guys? I need to know why they were after me." He looked at me, and his face had a worried expression. "Are you sure, Ki? I feel like you should stay home for a while, and rest." "No, I wanna go. I'll be with you, so I'll be fine, don't worry." He sighed, but he agreed reluctantly. "Okay fine, you can come. Are you sure you're okay though?" he asked, and I nodded. Once we had both finished eating, I grabbed my phone and the bottle of Gatorade and we walked downstairs to the car. Leo got into the driver's seat, while I got in the passenger's seat, and we buckled our seatbelts, and Leo drove towards the headquarters of his mafia, where they held the guys.
Once we got to the building, Leo parked on the side, and we both got out of the car and walked inside. Once we walked through the doors, there were a couple of men standing there, talking and laughing. "Oh, hey boss. How's it going?" one of them said, and they all looked at Leo, and then in turn looked at me with curious faces, probably wondering who I was.
"Hey James, where are the guys from earlier?" Leo replied. "They're down in basement 3F and 3G. You want any of us to come with you?" The man I presumed was James said back. "No, there's no need for that. Also, meet Kierra. She's with me." he introduced me.
"Hey!"
"Hi, Kierra."
"Wassup Ki."
I heard a lot of greetings, and I said hi back with a smile. "Okay, let's go, Ki," Leo said, and he held my hand and we walked towards the elevator. Once we got inside, Leo clicked a button and the elevator went down. Once we walked out of the elevator, there was a long dark hallway that stretched a bit, and we walked to the end, where there was a large steel door with a hand sensor next to it. Leo placed his right hand against the sensor, and once the sensor turned green, a faint click was heard.
The door clicked and moved back, revealing another hallway, but this time noises could be heard. Screaming, crying, shouting, etc. There was also an unpleasant smell, with the odors of the irony scent of blood, and the faint smell of pee. I smiled at that, there were some cowards here then. For some reason, I didn't feel weird or uncomfortable staying down here, because I had been down in places like these back when I stayed with my family. My brothers and I used to go to the basement to get information out of the hostages, so being down here wasn't something new for me.
Once the door had fully opened, Leo and I walked through and into the hallway, towards the hostages.
