“Val! Wake up!” Lilly comes storming into my room.
“What now Lilly?” I mumble still trying to sleep.
“You have to get up, your brother has called a meeting.” She says, pulling on my arms.
I try yanking my arm from her but end up pulling her down instead. “Sorry Lilly. I don’t want to get up. I haven’t had any time alone since I was told about being the future queen. I can’t really say no, can I?” I mutter.
Lilly sits next to me on my bed, “I don’t think you can, but at least he’s handsome. If you don’t want him maybe, I’ll take him.” She laughs.
“It’s not that I don’t want him… I just… I wish I was given a little more warning.” I sigh heavily.
“Val, maybe it’s a good thing. Perhaps they didn’t tell you so you could live your life the way you wanted, and not the way the royals expected of you.” Lilly says to me.
I groan, “Fine, I’m awake… lets go see what my damn brother wants.”
“Yay, by the way, I got my wolf this morning. I just haven’t transformed yet.” Lilly admits full of excitement.
“You know what that means?” I ask.
She grins and we say together, “We will all get to train together!”
We squeal as we head out the door of the cabin. We have a little girl talk on the way to the gathering at the fire pit. We were so excited that we almost didn’t stop.
“Hey girls.” Kayzen says and we stop in front of them.
“What are you two talking about?” I inquire.
“It’s guy business.” Xayne piped in.
“Oh whatever…” Lilly says and waves at Jayson.
Jayson clears his throat, and everyone goes silent, “Good news everyone, among us is the prince himself, and he has invited those of us who have gotten our wolves to his castle for dinner tonight. Also, for those who have received their wolves, we will have a hunt at the end of the week, giving the opportunity to transform for the first time. There will also be a celebration to fallow the hunt.”
The cheering was so loud my ears started to ring, so I cover them with my hands. Jayson clears his throat again, and they quiet down.
“Remember those of you who have joined with your wolves are welcome the rest will have their chance. As for the ones who have their wolves, I believe there are 4 aside from me that are going. Lilly, Aiden, Kayzen, and my own sister, Valyrie will be accompanying me to Xayne’s castle tonight at 7.” Jayson says.
I elbow Kayzen, “Need a date.” I giggle.
“I was going to take Lilly so Xayne could have you as a date.” He whispers.
“What about my brother?” I ask.
“I can go alone.” Kayzen responds.
“That’s not fair, and since when do you take the second seat?” I place my hands on my hips.
“I’m a Delta, I’ve always taken second place when it comes to an alpha. To be honest It’s third, but oh well.” He states.
“Kaz… fine, but you owe me a date.” I say to him.
“What’s the point of us going on a date if you will end up as Xayne’s mate?” he questions.
“It’s not set in stone. What if it’s you? You can’t be certain my mate will be him. What if its neither of you? You never know who your mate will be until you are 18 or in some rare cases before then.”
“Point taken, but do you really want to have a date with me?” Kayzen asks.
“Have you transformed yet?” I ask in response.
“Not yet, but I’m hoping soon enough.” Kaz says to me.
“I hope so too. I want to run with someone that can keep up with me.” I agree.
My brother comes up to me and leans on me. “Mr. Prince wants to introduce you to his mommy and daddy. Wont that be the best thing ever. Then you can find out if you still do the training or not.”
I squeeze out from under his arm, “That’s not for them to decide. I need the training. How will I defend myself?”
“Private training.” Is his answer.
I roll my eyes. “Jay, please just don’t put so much pressure on me. I don’t know if I want to be queen.”
“You don’t really have a choice. You will not have to answer to me then. Any pups you guys have will be royal… soon their won’t be a need for an additional alpha.” Jayson states.
“Oh, come on! I don’t want to think about having pups.” I say to my brother.
“Good. You are too young anyway…” he sternly says.
“Anyway, can we go I want to go on a run with Rage.” I state.
“Sure thing. Don’t get lost.” He says. I wave and take off running and shifting in an instant. I run towards the lake.

After my run, I return to my cabin and take a shower. Lilly was talking with Erin and Hellen. They became fast friends, but that’s what makes Lilly a good candidate for a Luna position… she’s special in that way.
“Hey girls.” I say in passing to go to my room. I shower quickly and get my outfit on. It’s a blue t-shirt and black pleather pants. I hang out in my room while I wait for word about going to the castle. When that word comes, I get my bag and head out the door.
We got in a vehicle and drove to the castle. It’s actually more like a mansion than a castle, but it’s pretty non-the-less. We get out of the vehicle and walk up to the old oak doors with a wolf knocker. Jayson uses the knocker to knock and soon a maid, I’m guessing, answers the door.
“Welcome, come, come. They are awaiting your arrival.” The small built brunette says.
We fallow her inside the place is definitely beautifully made. It’s got a large staircase right in the middle of the foyer. To the left I see some rooms that say servants’ quarters, and to the right is the dining hall. The center staircase leads to another split in rooms one side being for the gammas and the other being for deltas. The next floor is for beta’s and I’m guessing the alpha’s quarters. There is a small spiral staircase that leads to an unknown area… probably royal quarters and library.
“Quit gawking, princess… it’s just a mansion.” Aiden says. He’s tall, light brown hair with blue eyes, and kind of a snob.
“Well Aiden, I’ve never been in a place this extravagant, nothing like what your used to spoiled little rich boy.” I growl.
“Val, just let it go. He’s not worth anything. His family may be wealthy, but he’s not an alpha.” Lilly says to me.
“How do you know he isn’t, Lilly? He’s from a different pack.” I ask her.
“Because Hellen is his twin. They are beta’s like me.” She says.
“Oh. Hellen seems a lot kinder than Aiden.” I whisper to Lilly.
“SHE is.” Was her response.
“Welcome to our lovely home, I hear you guys have already found your wolves much like my son, Xayne.” A lovely woman says. She resembles her son in a way. Her mate joins her at her side.
“Alpha Braixon, Luna Rossja, it’s a pleasure to finally meat you.” Jayson says with a small bow.
“Ah, you must be the young Jayson. Soon to be alpha of silver moon pack. Has your sister been informed of what is expected of her? I hear she’s a red twin-tailed wolf.” Rossja says.
I clear my throat, “I have been informed your majesty, at least some of it. I’m Valyrie White, and I believe this necklace belongs to you.” I remove it and present it to her.
“Keep it young one. We are glad it’s been found, but it’s yours.” Braixon states.
“Thank you, your majesty.” I replace it around my neck.
“You need not call us by majesty. You are the princess that will become my Xayne’s wife, as promised when you were young. Did they inform you of why I chose you?” Rossja asks.
“Ma’am, as far as I know we were in a terrible way and in order to help you bought me, and I recall being told our wolves are mates, but it has yet to be confirmed.” I explain.
“Yes, yes.” She says. “Now let’s eat. Everyone to the dining hall.” She leads us to a wide-open area with long tables lined up and one at the head of the room. That’s where the royal family sits. We enjoy a nice meal and dancing before we head back to ‘camp’ and go to bed, its late.
