They pressed on, knowing their every moves were being watched by the pairs of eyes belonging to these children.

These princes and princesses, these royal children who had now been stripped to poverty.

These sons and daughters of the Queen were now slaves.

Sara stared at them, staring deep into the lifeless eyes and fighting back tears.

"We must save them," she whispered.

Suddenly she felt something cold and bony clasp around her ankle.

She shrieked, looking down at the ragged girl at her feet.

Kathy was the first to react, kicking the ragged girl violently.

She moaned quietly and inched away.

Sara looked deeper into her eyes.

Behind those eyes told a story.

One of tragedy, murder and sadness.

"We have to save them," she said, louder this time.

She looked at Kathy, and then to John.

"We have to save them."

NOW IS THE TIME TO FIGHT BACK.

The words rang through John's head like the ring of giant bell.

"Please." Sara pleaded, looking into his eyes.

The children's eyes seemed to plead as well.

The girl from before rose to her feet.

She was roughly as tall as Sara, but much thinner.

"Please," she whispered.
